About this property

The Cypress House

Enjoy a quiet relaxing vacation at this private location. The home sits on a double lot of about 2 acres on a dead end road with minimal neighbors and noise. The main house is an A Frame two-story cabin style home and there is also a seperate guest house.

You will have access to the entire property during your stay, we do not rent the property out to multiple guests at one time.

In the main house, you will find a 1st floor bedroom with 1 King sized bed as well as a twin daybed with twin trundle giving sleeping spaces for 4 guests.

The 1st floor bathroom boasts an oversized walk-in shower. Although it is not attached to the bedroom, it is right outside of the bedroom door.

The living room has a large "L" shaped couch as well as a twin daybed with twin trundle to allow sleeping for 2-4 guests. In the living room there is also a desk set up with a computer and printer for working on the go.

The dining room seats 6 and is next to a bar/island that seats 4. The open concept allows for easy access to all of the homes main spaces making it superb for entertaining.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, crockpot, blender, toaster, can opener, air fryer, keurig, dishes and utensils. There is a 2nd refrigerator in the laundry area that is attached to the kitchen for plenty of space for cold food and drinks.

At the top of the stairs of the 2nd floor you will find a small nook area that holds several board games, puzzles, and coloring books allowing a variety of ages to find something they will enjoy.

Down the hallway you will find the 2nd floor bathroom that has a large soaking tub without a shower. Across from the bathroom is a closet.

On the 2nd floor level you will find the other main house bedroom. This sleeping space holds 4 guests with 2 queen sized beds.

The guest house is directly next to the main house with a short walk of several steps. In the guest house you will enter into a kitchenette space that has a sink, mini fridge, keurig and microwave. Across from this space is a dining area with 2 chairs. Entering into the main area of the guest house you will find 1 queen sized and 1 king sized bed giving you sleeping spaces for 4 guests. There is also a 3 seat couch for another usable sleeping space. To the right side of the king sized bed you will find the 3rd bathroom of this property that has a walk-in shower.

Outside you will find a large deck along 3 sides of the main home, a dock, a swing, a large picnic table, a firepit area, a kayak stand with three 10' and one 8' kayak, a boat ramp (use of this for boats is dependent upon lake debris at time of stay), an outdoor fishing cleaning area, and the fishing room which is located in the building farthest from the main home. This room is where you will find fishing poles, life jackets, an ice machine, a deep freezer, another sink, and any other supplies that have been left that you may deem useful.

Low Falls Public boat landing is about a 5 minute drive away if the ramp on site is not able to be utilized during your stay. To get back to the house from there is about a 10 minute boat ride and your boat may be tied up to the dock during your stay.

We always enjoy our time at The Cypress House and we welcome you to enjoy time there with your friends and family as well!

About the host

Hosted by Rhonda Raper

Host profile image
We live near Myrtle Beach and own a construction company. With how busy life gets, we decided a few years ago to purchase a vacation property on Lake Marion to be able to relax and rejuvenate. After several months of personal enjoyment we felt it was time to share our home so others could enjoy it as much as we do. We enjoy hosting because we get to share what God has blessed upon us with others and that's what life, to us, is all about

Why they chose this property

We loved that this home sits directly on the lake with a good amount of waterfront to enjoy. The scenery is so beautiful and the area is extremely quiet.

What makes this property unique

The A Frame cabin style home directly on the lake really stood out to us as a unique vacation property. With the double lot providing so much privacy, it certainly makes it hard to leave!
