Allie's on the Rocks pet-friendly lake bungalow
Fully updated, 2-story, modern bungalow with new swim dock, awaits up to 6 lucky adventurers. 1415 sqft packed w/amenities adjacent to restaurant/bar, marina & boat launch. Fish, kayak, grill, private deck and dock, covered porch, WiFi/RoKu, games, ample parking, pet-friendly w/fenced yard. Fish for monster bass darting through deep water shadows as majestic egrets stalk the sandy shallows. Kayak with turtles along the rocky shoreline then relax on the spacious porch with a cocktail and games at sundown. BYO boat!
Since the water at Allie's lies at the confluence of two creeks, the water may move slowly and/or get murcky, depending on the weather and the time of year. This also makes for great fishing, but during the summer months, there may be heavy boat traffic on the water which could influence your swimming or fishing strategy from the dock. During the months of October to March the water is very low making the fishing dock ramp very steep and possibly unusable.

I like to fish. One of my lifelong dreams has been to own a lake home so I could walk out my back door and bass fish or perhaps hop in my boat or jet ski and take off for an afternoon cruise. So, I purchased a bungalow and a lakeside retreat on Smith Lake. Most of the time I live at the “farm” in Colorado Springs, CO with my wife Karen. We have two dogs, Allie and Tigua, along with three cats and about 20 chickens. Barney is no longer with us as he succumbed to aggressive bone cancer too early in his short life. (He is the big pooch on the right side of the photo with Karen). However, Barney will always live in our hearts and remain an icon in his namesake home, Barney's Bluff.
I have owned and run my own structural engineering business since 2001 and Karen does the books for our company. We decided to pursue other interests now that we have a few grandkids and engineering can get both stressful and mundane after 25 years. Living on a beautiful, pristine lake part time and sharing it with others who have a similar passion for fishing and watersports just made sense. I think if you come as our guest to “Allie’s on the Rocks”, “Barney’s Bluff” or our newest place, "Tigua's Sunrise", you will find them as amazing and enjoyable as we have. And feel free to bring your four-legged pals with you.
