About the host
Hosted by Brooke Peterson
The Mistletoe Mission states there is a REASON to kiss UNDER THE MISTLETOE 365 days a year. SINGLE or MARRIED. There is always a reason to kiss! I am on a mission to prove it & change the mindsets of people to DO IT! WHY? Spreading LOVE via The Kiss, Under the Mistletoe. The Mistletoe Mission in a nutshell. Kiss a grandparent, veteran, neighbor, friend, elder, military member, friend, cook, dog you get the idea. Be LOVE on a STICK! In the meantime, as the mistletoe princess, I travel, encouraging, taking pictures of people kissing under the mistletoe & spread the word. I have a special thing I do as well. As you will notice, there are 2 chocolate kisses on your letter. This is how it all began.
Why they chose this property
What is the FIRST thing a parent does when a child falls and scrapes his or her knee? Offers to kiss it & make it better, right? What if we, as adults did that? For EVERYTHING! What a much happier world we would have. Kiss (LOVE) & make up. So, I decided, The Mistletoe Farm was the appropriate name for the website as it was what I was speaking to directly.
Without giving away the farm so to speak, I will say that 13 real estate offers later, here I am in Graham, Texas looking forward to meeting you. I looked up and saw Mistletoe on the trees & confirmed it with my realtor. Switched my chocolate for Mistletoe & here I am. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason.
First Weekend In June:
Food Truck Competition- Truly the biggest weekend in Graham, 2022 proved to be no different with music, friends and then there’s the food. Each one a little more tempting then the last.
Go Fishing in Lake Graham- so as it is walking distance from the Farm, I would be missing it if I neglected to tell y’all about Lake Graham. Just a short walk and you’ll be on the scenic shores of Lake Graham, a premier fishing destination.
Lake Eddleman- Again, as this is the closest lake to The Farm and exactly .7 miles and within walking distance. I would be a terrible host if I did not tell y’all that Texas has the most amazing sunsets & Lake Eddleman is so close & such a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset.
At one mile in circumference, Graham’s downtown square is the largest in the entire country. That’s what I have been told, so I pass it on to y’all as truth. I keep waiting for someone to prove it wrong.
Wander to the center of the square to see the Courthouse Archway, a stone arch that was once part of Graham’s original 1884 courthouse. There’s also the Young County Veterans Memorial, a red-granite structure inscribed with the names of the 157 county residents who died serving their country since World War I, as well as 5,000 area veterans.

The Old Post Office Museum & Art Center is yet another attraction in downtown Graham that is a great place to get to know the town’s history. Check out the displays of military uniforms, photographs, and pottery in the permanent exhibit.
Catch a show at the Graham Drive-In Theatre- I won’t lie, you may or may not find me chillin’ @ a late-night double feature with some sweets in the car on a hot night.
Graham Drive-In Theatre, one of only a handful of drive-in theaters still operating here in the Lone Star State. Bring your date, or your family, to the theater and make sure to get there early to scope out a good spot. You can even bring your own drinks and snacks and MISTLETOE!
Explore Possum Kingdom State Park- Leap into refreshingly cool clear blue water, cruise past towering limestone cliffs on a motorboat, and hike scenic tree-shaded nature trails. These are a few of the adventures you’ll have at Possum Kingdom State Park, a sprawling haven for nature lovers that sits on the western side of the 20,000-acre Possum Kingdom Lake.
