The pictures of this camp really do not do it justice. The location is great! It is right across the street from the beach access cross over. You can walk or rent a golf cart/side by side and you dont have to travel on the main road aside from crossing the street if you do not want to. The front porch has a great view of the beach as well! The camp has a walkway that wraps around the entire thing so you can even see the sunset from the back(bay side) The camp itself was cool, clean and comfortable with plenty of sleeping space. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We will be back and would love to stay here again.

Perfect relaxing getaway! We watched dolphins off the deck and enjoyed coffee at sunrise. The location was perfect. Convenient to grocery, restaurants, and beach access. House was spacious, updated, and well stocked. Just steps from the beach. Check in/out easy.

Grand Isle

It’s a quiet little island. The location is great, right across from the water. A great get a way to the beach but not much more to do. The beach is under construction so some areas are closed. A good place to bring your golf carts if you have one. The house was clean and had everything you would need. Be aware that the owners do have cameras up around the outside and they often checked in on them.

Everything We Needed

Had a great short spring break stay. The place had everything we needed and was super comfortable. We bought some groceries along the way, but they had all the staples stocked as well. We like to cook and they had all the needed items as well as fishing and crabbing gear. The owners were onsite the first night we were there and Dallas was great about sharing his fishing expertise. We were not expert ocean fishers but managed to catch a few surf fish as well as some crabs. Loved the deck view of the ocean as well as the short walk to the sand. The house is up high on stilts (for good reason) and it was a windy few day while we were there, the first night it was a little disconcerting to feel the wind rock the house. But it became kind of comforting to fall asleep to. Definitely a more laid back feel than many other gulf coast destinations during spring break, which was exactly what we were looking for.

We owned a marina on Lake Wappapello in Southeast Missouri for 10 years, after that we purchased our Beachview Home in Grand Isle LA. We rent the House when we travel in our Fifth Wheel. We spend Summers in Kansas where we grew up, working on a fixer upper house. Sometimes we are in the RV spot next to the House. We specialize in a low-key atmosphere and always try to make our guest's feel at home
