Excellent stay!

We loved our stay here! Our host was warm and welcoming! The house was exactly what we were looking for. The lake was great as was the huge lawn for playing games with the kids. We even had a small fox and a deer run across the lawn one night. We will definitely stay again if in the area.

4th of July Stay

We enjoyed the extremely comfortable beds and extras Gwen provided down to frozen treats in the fridge! Kayaks and a large yard for playing bags was nice as well as a fire pit. Just disappointed by the condition of the water surrounding the dock, but we were able to utilize a boat launch to use tubes we had brought with us. Fireworks we were able to enjoy right from the comfort of the air conditioned dining room. Good times were had playing games around the nice big dining room table. Gwen was a great host! It was a very enjoyable and restful stay!

Our stay at the farmhouse was a relaxing getaway. The home was incredibly clean and beautiful both inside and out. It was cozy, inviting, and had everything that we needed. Gwenn was a wonderfully kind and attentive host. She even texted us on our first night to warn us of an impending thunderstorm. We enjoyed our nearby excursions on Lake Poygan and Partridge Lake. We would gladly return to the area and the home.

Best sleep you’ll ever have on vacation!

My family (4 adults/4 children) had the privilege of staying here during EAA’s AirVenture week. Owner was beyond helpful and accommodating. She even stocked the freezer with ice cream and treats for the family. The property had a great yard where the kiddos could run and play. After the hustle and bustle of a day at AirVenture, it was wonderful to enjoy relaxing in the peace and quiet outside on the deck. The place is very clean and decorated nicely. We all thought the beds were EXTREMELY comfortable which seems to be a hit or miss in most vacation rentals. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us, and we never felt crowded. Would highly recommend.

‘The Farmhouse’ - Quiet and Relaxing

My five extended family members and I had a wonderful stay at ‘The Farmhouse’ as we had come together for our Aunt’s memorial service in the area. We had come from various locations in Canada. It served us well as we had plenty of space to cook, prepare for the service, enjoy the quiet of the large, beautiful property. The large living room space and deck allowed us to visit and reminisce. Because we had access to two kayaks, we enjoyed a couple of hours paddling on Lake Paygon. Gwenn, the host, was amazing!! She was very friendly and quick to respond to any inquiries we had about our stay. I would absolutely recommend The Farmhouse!!

Great host!

We had a lovely family extended weekend getaway at this house. The house easily fit 6 adults and 2 kids, and had plenty of room both inside and out for the kids to run around and play. The only word of warning is that the dock is on the channel, not the lake, so if you are looking to sit on the dock overlooking the lake, you won’t have a great view. But, there are kayaks to use and it is easy to get out to the lake. However, the real reason this rental gets a 5 star review is Gwenn, the owner. We had a couple of things go wrong with the house while we were there. All completely beyond Gwenn’s control and not the result of anything she did or could have done. Gwenn was incredibly responsive, working non-stop to do everything she could to fix the issues. She even came over late at night and came back first thing the next morning to make sure everything was fixed and we could continue enjoying our stay. A rough situation that could have ruined our trip (especially given VRBO’s terrible customer service) turned into a temporary inconvenience thanks to Gwenn and her tireless work to make sure everything was alright. We had a great weekend thanks to Gwenn!
