We needed a last minute place to stay because our air conditioner broke. This was s good place to stay in s pinch. Had everything we needed and was clean Nice views of the beach. Plenty of blankets sheets and pillows. Top floor unit and the views were incredible

Family Vacation

I wanted my children to experience an 'ocean view' and this room definitely delivered. Great view, location and well stocked. Foe the days that there were double red flags on the beach the AMAZING pool on site keep all the kids happy.

Great building and great location

I have stayed in this building several times and while I LOVE the location we needed a bigger unit. The unit has a lot of potential if the mgmt. company would put a little bit of effort. We had to wait 24 hours for face cloths and hand towels (not a huge deal). There was never any dish soap, sponges, cleaner for the counters or extra trash bags. I could get over that, but there were dust bunnies under the beds that were HUGE and a nasty stain on one of the lamp shades. I can get over a bare bones unit, just make it clean. We did have to call the mgmt. company to change the battery on the fire detector and they were prompt to respond. Mgmt company: Just pay attention to the little things and this can be a great unit.

Top notch cost but not top notch

For what we paid for 5 nights I expect top notch quality. Baseboards and floors dirty. Wall switches that don’t work, double plug outlets where one or both did not work, TV that did not work. I understand one towel etc per guest with laundry in the unit, but not one kitchen towel or dish cloth was provided, we had to ask TWICE to get those and we got 1 of each to have for cooking/cleaning 3 meals a day for 7 of us, The building had only 2 of the 3 elevators working the entire time we were there. We waited for 6 cars to be able to get on one this morning. The heated pool was cold. The umbrella and chairs on the beach were a nice amenity, however, they are NOT directly in front of the building, those are for some other resort, the ones for Majestic Sun are a good bit down. The view from our balcony was beautiful, but there are a lot of other options with good views, so will not book this one again.

A 5 Star Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this property for a girls week. There were 5 of us. We are VERY particular about where we stay. This was a perfect pick! The condo was very clean. The layout is ideal. There is SO much space and plenty of seating (bar chairs, large dining room table, ample living room furniture). The balcony is HUGE! Lots of table/chairs to enjoy the million $ view! Note.... for some reason the top or bottom outlets (can't remember which) are controlled by the wall light switch. The outlets worked once we turned on the "light" Also They must have painted because the walls are a beautiful blue gray color. In the picture, the coach looks like there is a low back and the pillows are what you sit up against. The pillows were not there. The couch has a regular back which was very comfortable. The wicker chair even had a large ottoman to match. The plus was the master bedroom has its own entrance to the balcony. The large sliding glass door allows you to lay in bed in the morning a still be able to see the ocean. We didn't cook much, but when we did, we had all the cookware needed. Although our Asian friend said there were no chopsticks (haha).

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I were looking forward to this vacation and the room we had rented. The pictures were a bit misleading as the colors were a dull gray instead of the beautiful light green we were anticipating. The room was spacious and clean but we encountered multiple electric outlets that weren't working so we had to search for others that were working. I didn't call to have them looked at because there was no visible hazard, but I feel the owners should be inspecting their properties better and closer in every aspect not just focusing on just the cleanliness and whether or not their furnishings are all in place. All the beds were horrible as far as comfort, there were hard lumps all over each bed making it hard to sleep, not sure if or when the mattresses have ever been changed or looked at. The most concerning thing about our visit most of all was the fact that on our last day the complex shut off the water at 9am with no warning at all to anyone, and we later found out by asking around that they were going to keep it off till that afternoon till 2pm. That was totally unacceptable not receiving any notification so that we could prepare for such an event. I understand things need to happen for repairs and such, but to not say anything to the guests is completely wrong and unacceptable. For this reason alone I will not be returning to the Sunscape complex or this renter at Majestic Sun; nor will I refer anyone to stay here as well. Other than what was previously stated, we love Destin and will come back to the Destin beach area.

Upon arrival everything appeared clean (sink stopper in one of bathrooms did not work) and the furniture was comfortable. (2 stools were not usable and need to be repaired). It is a good size for a medium size group (we had 5, but could have comfortably had up to 8). The beds were very comfortable, table was large, and plenty of chairs available in living room area. The necessities of the kitchen were provided, but nothing more.Kitchenware was basic but acceptable for 5 people. If staying more than 2 days, be prepared to bring your own supplies (toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent). We did not use the tennis courts or golf. Communication was good. Check out was easy. No recycling available.

We had our children and grandchildren stay and everyone was comfortable with their own space. Good view with bare minimum amenities

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from the room 1201A is phenomenal. Heather was great on the phone helping us getting parking pass for our cars that wasn't in the room. However, the amenities is very bare minimum. No extra toilet papers, trash bags, no swimming pool/beach towels, No dish soap or dish mop to wash the dishes, no laundry detergents. We stay 3 nights there. No extra blankets given that we can't change the thermostat during the 9 degree outside winter temperature and the unit temperature was 65. We end up using our beach towels that we brought with us as extra blankets. No coffee maker. We end up driving to the grocery stores to get all these essentials. The heated swimming pool is a plus, but no indoor changing place near the pool, so we were all freezing in wet clothes running outside to get into the elevator to get up to the room. We end up just using the swimming pool only 1 time for that reason. I probably wouldn't stay here again for those headaches.
