Hokulani 142, Honau Kai Resort, is a fabulous ground floor unit with a beautiful private lanai and garden area. Our lanai extends out to an open grass area which many of our guests use to relax, play games, or enjoy the quiet surroundings. There are no elevators exiting our unit or waiting to enjoy the resort and pool areas. Our guests come and go with our secure lanai door locks for convenient access to the pool areas and beaches.
Safe Travels - Ground floor with added secure access in/out from the lanai (keyed), no walking through the hotel hallways, corridors, or elevators to a higher floor location. Our unit features its own dedicated ventilation and AC system and air is NOT circulated/shared with other units and common places. -Travel to Maui County Updates: Please see detailed information below. --------------- OUR CONDO: Ideal unit for families - 2 Bed / 1 Bath 950 square foot condo (plus 190 sq ft Lanai/Garden) with spacious 11 foot ceilings. It is located in the Hokulani tower (north side). Situated in the heart of Honua Kai Resort on the GROUND floor, it provides easy access in and out (from either the keyed Lanai or condo door) - no elevators needed! The lanai opens up to lush lawns for games or activities and walkways with resort views and the West Maui mountains. Outside foot traffic is considerably less than inner courtyard units, providing the convenience of walking out on the lanai and being a minute away from the resorts many pools, the amazing Duke's Restaurant, the Hokulani fish pond, and the wonderful Aina Gourmet Market. --------------- FEATURES: This unit features four full size or larger beds - in the master, a King Bed with deluxe linens, an incredible Full over Full Bunk Bed in the second bedroom, and an upgraded Queen Plus (66x80) size comfort sofa sleeper in the living room. Our sleeper is 6” wider than standard sofa beds, and includes 80” sleeping surface length, solid platforms providing even support - no bars, no springs, and no sagging. All our guests, regardless of where they sleep, can rest comfortably. --------------- TECHNOLOGY: Both bedrooms and living area have their own HD flat screen TV's with cable. Additionally, the main living room features a wall mounted 65" 4K Smart TV, plus a Blu-Ray DVD player. Throughout the unit, enjoy 300 MB Fiber internet and wireless AC service. An Amazon Echo for streaming music is also provided for your listening pleasure. Our guests are subscribed to the resort's towel tracker program, allowing you to receive clean pool / beach towels around the property. Resort amenities and luxury living at its Maui best. Close to shopping, dining, and golf. Enjoy the sun and sand at one of West Maui's most popular beach parks, Kahekili Beach (Airport Beach). Swimming and snorkeling are all within the resort area. Honua Kai is connected to the 3+ mile walkway along the shore to the famous Black Rock Beach, Whalers Village, or head north to visit Honokowai Beach Park (perfect for young children), the farmers market, and local organic food store.
Honua Kai Resort and Maui update: The following resort operations are all open daily. The featured 3-acre network of pools, hot tubs, waterslide and children's area, 6am-10pm. Ho'ola Spa (Konea), 9am-5pm. Duke's Restaurant for dine in/take-out, 8am-9pm, plus live nightly entertainment. Duke's poolside service, 11am-4:45pm. Whaler's General Store (Konea), 7am-9pm. Aina Gourmet Market (Hokulani), 6:30am-2pm. Honua Kai Fitness Center, 24 Hrs. Honua Bell/Valet service is temporarily closed, and you must self-move luggage to the unit. Times Supermarket across the street from resort is also open daily, 5am-11pm. Many on island excursions are open with reduced capacity, so check with provider for updates. Nearby restaurants are open with some limitations, and currently requiring guests to wear masks.

Great place for young families. The set up couldn’t have been better with ground floor and lawn/patio which allowed parents to still enjoy the outdoors while kids napped or went to bed earlier.
This condo was absolutely perfect for our trip. Great for kids, easy to access, fabulous resort, and excellent communication with the host- above and beyond!
We loved this property. Perfect size for our family of 4. Ground floor location was key. We talked to other people who said they spent a lot of time waiting for elevators. Our kids loved the pools. Great beach for playing in the sand, boogie boarding and snorkeling. Grocery store and snorkel gear rental store all within walking distance.
Good friendly and prompt communication from host and owner. Great location and resort bellman are top notch. Very well maintained resort. Newer furnishings, great choices. Even has an Insta pot! Bunk bed mattresses are not real comfy but tolerable for most.

Great place to stay! We went with our kids who are 1, 4 and 7 and the condo and the resort were perfect. The condo is clean, large and the beds are comfortable. Having the beach toys and accessories was a really nice bonus and added to the experience for our kids. The towel service included in the stay was so great and convenient around the pool and the resort/pool area is really wonderful.
Loved the property for our family of 5 (kids ages 10-15). The location was central to everything we wanted to do on the island and resort staff were all very kind and helpful. The ground floor location was amazing since we could walk right out onto the grass from the lanai. The communication from the owner and property manager was quick, thorough, and very helpful. We will 100% stay here again on our next trip to Maui!
We loved our stay here, perfect for a family with three young kids. We loved the closet full of beach supplies and toys. Only issue was that the dryer did not work well. Great support and responsiveness from Monty.
We loved staying here!! The 1st floor access to everything, especially the coffee shop and beach for sunrise is ideal. The place is stocked with what you need. The beach chairs were so great to take with us and my kids lived the bunk beds. Highly recommend for a great family vacation!
We stayed the week with our 3 kids and had a wonderful experience. The accommodations and resort amenities were so enjoyable and the beautiful Maui island was a beautiful place to explore. Sunrises, swimming/snorkeling, wonderful restaurants and a cultural luau were highlights from the week!
Very much enjoyed this unit and the full property. Perfect for a small family, and the den was a huge bonus sleeping area.
Dan and Monty were so helpful with fulfilling a few special requests for our newborn - thank you!
