In the idyllic village of Medevi Brunn, just over a kilometer from the shores of Lake Vättern, this very charming house from the 1940s welcomes you with a large, inviting garden. The house is the last house in a cul-de-sac with a view of open fields and forest in the background. Enjoy the pleasantly furnished rooms, lovely decoration and experience the natural warmth of the wood-burning stove. You can also look forward to a wood-fired sauna where you can sweat out all your everyday worries.



The veranda of the entrance area and the balcony face west and promise you convivial hours in the evening sun, while your children discover a playhouse on the property and romp around on the large lawn and on the small hill. However, the national road runs behind the house, making traffic audible.



The house has a rowing boat in a bay of Lake Vättern. The Östgötaleden hiking trail is only a few hundred meters from the house. The trail runs along the shores of Lake Vättern and partly through the spa town of Medevi Brunn, the oldest spa town in Scandinavia with almost a hundred buildings from previous centuries. Relax on Torpa beach, Medevi's own sandy beach, with a view of the open lake horizon. In the surrounding area there are bike-friendly gravel paths through the surrounding forests to small lakes as well as beautiful fields for picking mushrooms and berries. There are several nature reserves in the immediate vicinity. A day trip from Medevi is the Tiveden National Park with many marked hiking trails. Tiveden is known for its wild nature with large boulders and old, untouched forests. You can also explore other excursion destinations such as Vadstena, Motala, Askersund and Karlsborg.
