It's in a nice part of the city not too far from the center. There are many public transport links to all parts, including the airport. For food, it's close to plenty of eataries. Self-catering is easy with three or four supermarkets within a mile and a traditional outdoor market, selling fruit, vegetables, meat and clothes, etc. The host is very friendly and helpful. I will certainly try to stay there again, the next time I am in Lyon.
