The home was spacious and well suited for our family. Having 3 full bedrooms and another downstairs open bedroom was perfect for us. The common areas were comfortable with plenty of seating so we could visit and eat together. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook our meals and make our lunches for a full day on the mountain. The location was perfect. The mud room also very helpful to store our skis and snowboards and outdoor wear. The attention to detail was very appreciated. Things such as many hooks and boot mats in the mud room area and beds with bedding that were actually comfortable.

A great place to reconnect with friends for a ski trip. The property was very clean and in a great location. The hot tub and fireplace made it a cozy stay in the evenings. As a bonus, there are some truly stunning views out of the front of the house! We loved our stay.

Clinton, we are so happy to hear that you and your crew had a wonderful time here in Big Sky with us! Nothing beats a good ski vacation with friends. Reach out to us when you're ready to plan your next Montana adventure.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. The kids (ages 12-9) LOVED the bunk room! The property was in a nice, quiet neighborhood and also very close to the resort. They were also very good about snow removal and responsive. Could not have asked for a better experience.

The Happy Moose was a great location for our party of 10 adults ski vacation to Big Sky. It is spacious and clean and well-located to the ski area and other local activities, etc. We made good use of the hot tub and were visited in the front yard by a mama and baby moose! Wilson Properties was also helpful and accessible.

Our stay at the Happy Moose made our first trip to Big Sky amazing! We had 4 adults, 3 college age and 2 high school with plenty of space. The property management was attentive and even brought us a brand new crockpot when we couldn’t find the one that was supposed to be in the house. The inside of the house is extremely clean and updated with all the comforts of home. We will definitely stay here again!

We are thrilled you all enjoyed the home, it was our pleasure to host you and the crew for your Big Sky adventure! We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
I was nervous bc we are a party of 9 and sometimes the pics can be deceiving in regards to space (fish lens, angles, etc) In this case the place was actually larger than expected. You get all 3 floors, sleeps 10 comfortably. Great communication and service from the management. Would def recommend and stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. Loved the the hot tub. The management was really nice. A couple things we didn't realize in reading the description, there is a space that has bunks, there are no doors to that room, and you cannot use the garage, and there is not a pantry for food items. These were not a great deterent to us, but it is good to know them if you're looking at this place. Overall we were happy with this place.

It was our pleasure to host you all for an extended stay! We appreciate you taking great care of the home. A note for future travelers: the home is described as a 3-bedroom with a bunk room. There is a private, detached full bathroom next to the bunk room. The kitchen has a full wall of open cabinets and countertop for storage, it's a large, fully equipped kitchen.
Good space for a large family/group but needs maintenance
We had a good stay at The Happy Moose. Plenty of room for our group of 7 to spread out. The hot tub and fireplace were great! The home is needing some maintenance though - the cold water dial in the upstairs shower doesn’t work so we weren’t able to use that shower as it was scalding, the kitchen faucet is clogged and doesn’t have hot water, the couch is falling apart, and the lower oven doesn’t work so we were only able to put 1 tray in at a time. The coffee maker didn’t work upon arrival but the property management company promptly brought a replacement. For the price point, we didn’t expect so many issues.

Thank you for choosing the Happy Moose as the home base for your Big Sky adventure! We are thrilled you and the crew were able to relax and enjoy your trip. A note to future travelers: Maintenance issues noted in this review have been investigated. Occasionally a maintenance issue is easily explained with user error. We are a team of Big Sky locals here to help during your stay should anything arise needing our attention. Please do not hesitate to call or text!
Very nice property for our group of 8. Plenty of space for 4 couples. One recommendation is to add more hooks and towel racks to bathrooms and bedrooms. Also would add some rugs and /or yoga mat so us older skiers can stretch before/after skiing. Overall very nice and woudl book again. Thank you.
Easily fit our group of 9, we never felt crowded. Everyone agreed, we would all come back. Specifically, the teens enjoyed the downstairs bunkroom with giant bean bags, even though there is not a door to close off the room from the rest of the house. The three other bedrooms were actually big enough we didn't have to step over suitcases to get around. The padded dining chairs were appreciated by sore skiers. The driveway easily held cars, and could have fit six, the garage is not available for parking. We chose to drive to the resort due to free parking and rides to the base. It would be possible to drive to the bus stop, but the bus runs only every 30 minutes.

It was our pleasure to host you and the crew for your Big Sky adventure! We are thrilled you all enjoyed the home. We would love to welcome you all back for your next trip under the Big Sky!
We had a really nice stay. The house was very nice and very clean. The location was great for getting to and from where we wanted to go. There was lots of space! We just had our family of 4, but could have easily housed 4 more. The kids loved the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the house has very nice natural cooling compared to others we’ve stayed in (lots of shade, good air flow).
We’ve been to Big Sky 3 times in the last couple years. We rated this house a 4 star vs a 5 for some very simple reasons (some out of their control).
1. There is really bad construction on the main road through Big Sky. Traffic is backing up for miles. The street that the house is on is being used by many as a cut through to avoid that traffic. Between 7-9 am an 4-6 pm there was a constant flow of traffic by the house, even though there is a sign in the neighborhood about “no thru traffic”. Not their fault, but also not ideal in such a serene environment.
2. The only other knock was that we did not feel that the kitchen/pantry was truly fully furnished (at least not as well as others we’ve stayed at in the area). Just little things that could possibly improve future stays (pizza cutter, pans for cooking in the oven, salt, etc). Minor minor things, but comparing to others in the same price range, 4 star was accurate.

Thank you for choosing the Happy Moose as your home base for your Big Sky adventure! Our apologies for an inconvenience caused by increase traffic on the road in front of the home. Note for future travelers: Road construction on the main road through Big Sky should be complete in the coming weeks of this summer, 2023. Additionally, we do stock our kitchen very well. Salt, pepper, coffee filters, sponges, garbage bags, soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, etc. will all be found stocked for you upon arrival. We also take a thorough inventory to ensure we do supply essential items to make cooking in the rental seamless. Please feel free to reach out if you are needing something specific in the kitchen during your stay.
