About this property
Morrill Mansion Inn | 8 | Self Check In | Parking
Welcome to The Morrill Mansion Inn! This 1800's era townhouse has been meticulously restored to its original Italianate elegance. Formerly the Morrill Mansion Bed & Breakfast, we recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb & VRBO guests near and far as a boutique hotel.
Located on the 1st floor, the Promenade Suite includes one bedroom with a queen bed, an attached room with a twin-sized day bed, and a private living room. If requested, a day bed can be set up with linens.
The Space: This historic home was built in the early 1800s by one of the founders of the B&M Factory (the M stands for Morrill). Up until 2021, the B&M factory had been exclusively making B&M beans and their infamous smokestack was a staple in the Portland Skyline. What started as a single-family home, the Morrill Mansion saw many other uses before morphing into a bed and breakfast in the 1990s, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb guests near and far. Architectural details that make the home unique have been restored and modern amenities have been added to make your stay in Portland comfortable.
With just eight guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with a private ensuite bath, is furnished with a queen-sized bed, television (not your traditional cable, we have a smart TV with a YouTube TV account which offers live channels), a white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini-fridge. During the summer months (May through October) each room has a window AC unit and during the heating season, each room has its own Rinnai heater which allows you to control your own heat.
The guest rooms share the sitting room located on the first floor which has a coffee station and luggage nook for guests who need storage before and/or after check out.
***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee***
Other things to note: From November through March, we will be completing light renovations between 10am and 5pm. During this time you may hear hammering, chop saws, thuds, etc.

Loved staying here! So much room in the space, so clean, and beautiful. Close to so many great places to eat, walk and visit nearby. Will definitely stay again!
We were in town for Vance Joy concert and decided to stay the night about 2 days prior to our show. We love Portland and would totally stay here again!
The entire building was gorgeous! We loved reading about it's history in our welcome book. It was lovingly restored, decorated and well-appointed. We had ample space and privacy (for 2) with a comfortable separate sitting / tv room, and second private bedroom alcove.
My husband, myself and our 3 year old daughter had a wonderful stay here. The space is beautiful and clean; exactly as it looked in the pictures. I would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful weekend at the Morrill Mansion Inn. Check in could not have been easier, and the location was fabulous. We enjoyed our walks into Old Port as well as to restaurants, shopping, etc, but you could certainly take a quick drive as well. We did have a room with Parking and that was really convenient. The room(s) itself was lovely and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, a great living room and a cozy nook with a daybed. Even though we were on the street level, noise was not an issue. We would definitely stay again!
We had a lovely stay at Morrill Mansion. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, impeccably clean and well-appointed and the location was very convenient. Check-in/out and daily access were easy, and the off-street parking was great! My only issue was that the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. It was a very firm bed.
Traveling with my dad for father's day weekend and the location and accommodations were perfect! Parking, very clean and comfortable and ideal central location.

I loved this place and already can’t wait to come back!
This property was absolutely beautiful! Clean, plenty of room for our family, good location, and parking available. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Portland!
So comfortable. We don’t usually just hang out in our rental but this one we did when we needed a break. Great location easy to walk to Old Port and downtown. Plus great coffee and eating options near by. Has off street parking, a shared sitting room and a “break room” with coffee, tea, dishes, etc. Note if you are sensitive to sounds first floor might not be for you. You can hear people talking as they walk by on the sidewalk.
Everything was exceptional from the location to the Inn itself. The suite me and my husband stayed in was lavish and cozy it was definitely a wonderful experience and we would stay here again for sure!
