Fernwood Cabin boasts a brand new log structure, beautifully furnished with hardwood floors and adorned with exquisite oriental rugs in the living room and modern, fully stocked kitchen areas. As you enter, you'll find a cozy sofa and upholstered chair next to a stylish stacked stone electric fireplace that comes with a remote for your convenience. The kitchen features an antique reproduction table accompanied by four chairs, complemented by charming pine cabinets. A walnut three-drawer chest adds a touch of elegance to the space. The first-floor bedroom features a queen-size poster bed and a lovely ball-footed chest, all resting on a plush area rug. A full bathroom is conveniently located on this level, along with a flat-screen TV above the rock fireplace mantle, complete with a DVD player and a radio/CD player. Plus, you’ll have access to WiFi for your browsing needs.

Step out through the back door onto a charming covered deck that offers stunning mountain views. Enjoy the fresh air while rocking on the porch or savor your meals at the porch table. A stone pathway leads you to the inviting front porch, which overlooks the entrance road and a wooded area across the way. There are four spacious rocking chairs available on both porches for your relaxation.

The cabin features a paved road leading to the house, along with a gravel driveway that runs alongside. With a comfortable heat pump, you’ll feel right at home whether it’s summer or winter.

Upstairs, the loft area is surrounded by beautiful railing, providing a cozy ambiance. The second bedroom, which opens up to the main living space, includes a stylish maple bedroom suite, a desk, and a chest of drawers. This level also accommodates a convenient half bath. In the main loft area, there’s a cozy love seat and chair placed on another stunning oriental rug.

This idyllic home is just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Crooked Creek Fee Fishing Wildlife Area, which offers six miles of stocked trout streams and 1,600 acres of pristine mountain land for hunting deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, and grouse. The nearby New River Trail is renowned as one of the top ten mountain bike trails in the United States, inviting you to hike, bike, or horseback ride along its scenic paths. A small fire pit sits to the side of the cabin with benches to sit on while looking at the stars.

You’ll also be close to a variety of mountain cultural events, making Fernwood Cabin an ideal choice for your visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
