The beautiful harbour town of Harlingen is only 14 km away. Here you will find a beach and many shops, but you can also admire the town hall, the lighthouse and the Zuiderhaven marina. The ferry departs from Harlingen to the Wadden islands of Vlieland and Terschelling. The town of Franeker, known from the Eleven Cities Tour, is just 5 km from the holiday home. Here you can visit the old town centre and the planetarium. Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland, is 22 km from the holiday home. On cooler days, you can visit the Aeolus indoor playground with your children. This playground is only 5 kilometres away and offers a variety of activities. There is a lot to discover in the glass pyramid. The holiday home is approx. 7 km from the Bloemketerp indoor swimming pool in Franeker.
