Cactus Canyon-Palm Springs/Joshua Tree/Coachella -Pet Friendly, FREE Heated Pool
Feel right at home at Cactus Canyon.
POOL & SPA:
Pool heat is included during your stay. If you do not wish to have a heated pool, please message us. This will reduce your nightly rate. We do not charge to heat the jacuzzi. Since the pool and jacuzzi share a heater, they cannot be operated simultaneously. Guest are not permitted to tinker with the pool controls. On the Primary suite patio, you will find a push button remote box. This will turn on the pool/spa lights start/stop the jacuzzi. Please note: Everything at the house runs on propane, which is quite pricey. Please be judicious in your usage.
BEDROOMS: The Master Suite has an elevated California King-sized pillow-top mattress, a 43" LG television with Apple TV; a walk-in shower and a separate sunken tub, dual vanity sinks and a walk-in closet. Attached to the master suite is an outdoor patio.
Each of the 2 guest bedrooms have Queen size beds, mirrored wardrobe closets and dressers.
LIVING AREAS: The living room/dining room/kitchen is a spacious, well-appointed open floor plan. We have a 75” LG Smart TV/entertainment center with a direct-connect Bluetooth soundbar/subwoofer for luminous stereo sound quality. Our large sofa/lounge chair comfortably seats 4-6 adults. The adjacent dining area also seats up to 6. We have a PS5 with two-controllers, DirecTV with tons of movies and live sports. Play a video game, watch a film or a ball game, binge a TV show or just listen to your own music, streaming service or podcast. Play some pool and sip a cocktail in our billiards area, which features a voice enabled bluetooth speaker. Use the familiar "Hey..." phrase to activate and ask questions or stream from your phone/tablet while you play pool.
KITCHEN: Fully equipped with all utensils, plates, glassware, serving trays, a blender and an espresso machine. Please note, the lower cabinets are designed a bit weird have an awkward opening. Espresso and coffee are complimentary.

Why they chose this property
B Bar H Ranch is a small community of mid-century modern style homes located between in the Coachella Valley between Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. During World War II, “the ranch” was one of Southern California's most exclusive winter resorts. It was a place where prominent politicians, businessmen and bankers would socialize with Hollywood stars, writers and musicians. Celebrities such as Walt Disney, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Mary Pickford & Lionel Barrymore were frequent guests of B Bar H. In 2005, over four decades later, the neighborhood was re-imagined and re-constructed by local developer Mark Bodon. Many of the homes were designed and modeled after famed architect William Kreisel, who frequented the site during its various phases of construction. In 2020, the neighborhood has yet again gone through another growth phase. Dozens of empty lots were converted into modern, new construction houses. The neighborhood is a mix of mid-century modern with old rustic desert charm.
