Five stars are not enough. Staying at this property was like having private access to our own high end resort. In addition, the property management was attentive, pleasant, and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a nice time staying this past week in Palm Springs (despite all the rain). Grady was very responsive and delightful to work with. The house and pool were very clean! Highly recommend!
The house was wonderful and offered many great amenities including plenty of space, comfortable beds, a great pool and spa. The house is located close to all of Palm Springs great offerings as well as two grocery stores and a Starbucks around the corner, which was incredibly helpful having a 1 yr old with us. The pool and spa were great too - we weren't able to use the pool as much as we had hoped due to an issue with the heater, but Grady and Mel were very helpful in trying to fix it before we left and offered a refund since it could not be fixed. The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert and Living Desert and Zoo were both about 25 -30 minutes away and worth the drive for entertaining a little one.
This was our second stay in the Via Escuela house. Everything was great there. Beds comfy, linens nice, plenty of towels. It’s surprising how many supplies are in the kitchen. Olive oil, sugar, flour, salt, and everything you might need but not want to buy in a full supply for a short stay.
House is extremely clean.
House manager is great. Easy to communicate. Very accommodating for being able to get the house a day earlier than planned. ( thanks Grady!)
Back yard is lovely though our second stay was in the “monsoon” rains. We still used the hot tub. The pool would be perfect if you wanted to swim laps.
All in all we highly recommend Via Escuela.
First oft the house was BEAUTIFUL. VERY clean. Just as pictured, no problems with that. My issue was with their rules I get there are rules and guidelines. The check in process was seemed unnecessary, but we followed as best we could with my timeline. I have stayed at many rental homes and never had anyone be present at check in.
My disappointment was this home is listed as an event house for up to 12 people. They even require an additional deposit because of this. Received a phone call early in the AM that we could not have music on and only 2 cars in front of the home only so many people staying in the home (which contradicted their binder of directions). I was spoken to like a teenager having a party while the parents are gone not like a 40 year old grown adult who had paid a large sum of money to be there. Later that day code enforcement stopped by for a "warning" that we had too many cars and we needed to lower the music, which was already VERY low. Please explain to me how you can have a 12 person event and 2 cars outside? I do not know what kind of clown cars these people drive but my friends and family came from all over the state to celebrate my birthday and it was ruined because of the tone of the party after that call and the code enforcement visit. To add insult to injury we were outside on the patio and in the pool about 1am using our library voices as requested and we heard music bumping frome a home 2 doors down. That was definitely the icing on the cake.
This property is exactly as pictured - beautifully maintained and well-stocked. We had such a relaxing week there as a family. There were some issues with the pool/spa heat working properly but the hosts were very responsive (shout out to the awesome pool guy Mitch!). Hope to come back soon.
Great house. Clean, clean, clean. Comfortable both inside and outside. Nice fireplace for those chilly Palm Springs winter nights. Fire pit outside. For hot summer days there are ceiling fans on the patio seating area and eating area.
Nicely supplied kitchen. Had everything we needed to cook in one night after a visit to the farmers market.
Good location. Close to Palm Springs restaurants and shops. Not too far to drive to El Paseo to shop.
Comfortable beds. Nice linens. Plenty of towels .
Easy check in. ( complete with a recommendation for a great restaurant). The rental agency was very organized and the rental process was easy.
I’m hoping Villa Escuela will be available to rent on our next Palm Springs stay.
We loved our stay so much! Grady met us at house & was so friendly & helpful…showing us how to work everything (lights, fans, A/C, etc) so we could enjoy our stay immediately & not have to figure anything out. The house was beautiful…had all the toiletries in showers, plenty of towels, comfy beds with soft sheets, and expansive kitchen with all the tools you would need. Pool & spa were glorious & larger than expected. 10/10 would recommend & hope to return again!
This was our first time in Palm Springs and it did not disappoint! This property is beautiful inside and out. The decor, the comfortable beds, and the pool and patio were highlights. I highly recommend staying here!
The entire experience staying at this gorgeous home was amazing. We were greeted by the owner at our arrival who gave us an incredible tour of the home. He even had a binder with top recommended restaurants & activities to check out. The home was extremely clean and in order. The neighborhood was super safe and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The pool and hot tub were fun and easy to operate. The furnishings were very comfortable and the kitchen nicely stocked with everything we needed. The check in and check out process was smooth and it was great to be walked through the house and taught how to work everything properly. Highly recommended!
My friends and I came into Palm Springs for a guys golf trip. The house was a great central hub for our trip. The photos, while great, really don't do the place justice. It was comfortable, stylish, and quite. Grady, the owner met me to do an overview of the property which saved me a ton of time searching for things. He was a great host and I really appreciated his communication and his team. Highly recommend if you are staying in Palm Springs.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The outside pool area was amazing! I would stay here again in a second. The kitchen drawers and cabinets was a little difficult navigate and get use to because there was so many of them. A problem that would have been solved with one more night under our belts. You are under the path of the airport's commercial plane departure and it can be loud at times, but that noise is removed once the patio doors are shut. It was not an issue for us. Really great place to stay!
We like to come to Palm Springs 2-3x a year and this place is a hidden gem! The pool was definitely the highlight for us or should I say "pools" since there is a sunning pool and a large pool we could do some cardio swimming laps, and the spa was large enough for all six of us. The outdoor living area was perfect and we really enjoyed using the grill. It felt so private yet so close to everything in Palm Springs! The interior design was clean with a playful mid century twist. The open inside concept was a big plus for us.
The kitchen was well provisioned with quality items in great condition, and all appliances were easy to use. We especially enjoyed the gas grill off the dining room and firepit outside. We didn't use the inside fireplace but would be great for our Fall PS trip.
Check in and check out were extremely easy, and Grady was extremely clear in his instructions and communications, making sure we were aware early on about local Palm Springs rules and providing helpful, fast responses to our questions about the house. Internet speeds were fast enough for smooth video calls from two laptops at the same time, and wifi coverage was strong enough outside that I could even video call from the pool lounge chairs. It was a great option for working remotely!
NOTE: We were skeptical with no reviews and new listing but this place is solid.
