From the moment you walk in, the Beach Lodge feels more like your friend's beautifully designed home than a rental. The open floor plan is perfect for groups, and the location in Highlands is perfect too, within walking distance to beaches, waterfront restaurants, and shops.  The house is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need - they offer hotel-like amenities and I especially loved how stocked the kitchen was! Cherisse's welcome guide is a game-changer too, with spot-on local recommendations that basically plan your trip for you. This was my second visit and I took the Seastreak Ferry over from Manhattan this time. It’s conveniently down the street and only takes 1 hr (plus it's dog friendly). Cherisse is the kind of host who has genuinely thought of everything, I highly recommend staying here!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. It is close to the beach, a lovely local coffee shop and many great restaurants. The owners provide everything you need for a great beach vacation, even bicycles! House is also close to the ferry for a trip to NY. Communication is great and everything is as described. We can't wait to come back!

I sincerely apologize for the oversight in only leaving five towels for your group of six. As soon as I realized, I provided you with the code to our housekeeping closet so you could easily access additional towels during your stay. Regarding toiletries, we do stock the home with hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner for guest use—so there’s no need to purchase your own unless you prefer a specific brand. Toilet Paper/paper towels are also provided to get guests started, though for longer stays, we recommend bringing extra. That is advertised in our listing. Lastly, while we strive to make our home comfortable for all guests, it is not advertised as handicap accessible. We understand accessibility is important, and we always encourage guests to reach out with any specific needs before booking. Thank you again for staying with us, and we appreciate your comments as they help us improve.

This was the perfect property for our family! The house was beautiful, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed! Everything about our stay was great. Our host, Cherisse was very responsive to our questions and there was a very detailed house guide that provided us with everything we needed to know and also many recommendations for places to go nearby. We enjoyed having the bikes and beach chairs accessible to us so we didn't need to bring them from home. It was great to have the Sandy Hook beach parking pass as well. The house was actually larger than we expected and centrally located where we could walk or bike to the park, bagel shop, cafe and ice cream shop. The house was beautifully decorated and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and the water pressure in the showers was delightful. We enjoyed sitting in the yard and hearing the little stream passing through the edge of the yard. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great house and location

Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here! The house is fully equipped - more than enough to prepare a gourmet meal! Washer and dryer were also very handy to have. We didn’t lack for anything, and the home was immaculate! Close by is a nice coffee shop and other conveniences. What a pleasant visit we had and we plan on returning again!

Fishing getaway

This house was perfect for our group of friends to stay while we enjoyed some Raritan Bay fishing. The driveway was long enough to park boat trailer and truck as well as another vehicle. The house has everything and is really cool. The town is great and the Proving Grounds is a nice place to grab dinner and drinks with live music.
