The Pacific Northwest House is nestled in a little rural suburb just southeast of the city of Salem, Oregon. The location is convenient for those traveling for work or leisure to the Salem area, or the surrounding towns of Silverton, Stayton and Sublimity. A few miles from the Interstate 5 makes travel north to Portland or south to the Eugene areas a breeze. The property is surrounded by farmland, and sits on a private pond co-owned by the hosts and surrounding neighbors. This house is NOT in the city limits of Salem. You will need a vehicle to get around.
The Pacific Northwest house has been newly updated (2021) with vacationers in mind. There are three bedrooms (master: king bed, 2nd bedroom: queen bed and full size crib, 3rd bedroom: queen bed), a large living room, two full bathrooms (one in the master suite). Each bedroom has a TV, as well as the living room for your own streaming services. The full kitchen will delight chefs with an array of cooking and baking dishes and utensils - perfect for those family dinners while you vacation. A large covered patio looks out over a small privately owned lake and is furnished with leisure and relaxation as the plan. Down nearer to the lake you will find a firepit available for guest use with plenty of firewood provided. The large grassy back lawn is fully fenced and perfect for playing on. Plenty of parking is available in the driveway for up to four vehicles (we are sorry, but the garage is for host's use/storage only and is kept locked). Lake access is not allowed due to liability.
There are exterior security cameras on this property (front, back facing lake, sides and doorbell) to protect guests safety and for the security of the house. All cameras are on at all times and all cameras are in plain view.
An important note from your hosts: We are pretty laid back hosts but fully expect our house rules to be followed. They are pretty simple, and are inexistence for specific reasons. Before you book, please read the house rule section and make sure you can abide by them. Should any of our house rules be broken, please know up front that we have the right to cancel your reservation at any time, with no refund at all, at which point you will need to leave our house. We would love to never have to enforce this policy, so kindly ask that all guests abide by the house rules agreed to upon booking. Additionally, we do have a short check-out list for guests to complete before leaving, such as gathering used/wet towels and placing them by the laundry machines, leaving the kitchen free of dirty dishes, taking trash bags out to the garbage can, etc.).

About the host
Hosted by Tiffany Baskett
Tiffany is a mother of two boys who's real name is "Hey, Mom". Trying to manage the long comedy sketch (humor is simply a survival skill at this point) that is a household which includes two active kids is what fills her days. Some days that includes hiding in the closet from them after sneaking the chocolate from their Halloween baskets. Truth. This gig is not for the faint of heart.
Mike is a man on a mission. Nearing retiring age, he is counting down the days for when "all in a day's work" equates hitching up the boat and heading to a lake for a little jig pitchin' and tube flippin'. Bass fishing is in this man's blood. It's a love he's doing his best to instill in his boy's upbringing as well.
Met and married in the early 2000's, we have recently returned to our roots, so to speak, and have ditched the city life of our 20's and 30's for country living. We are in a season of parenthood in our lives, and a simple but well-rounded existence is what we crave, with room to roam for our children to grow up exploring the Mid-Willamette Valley where we live (and host).
