Spacious Ski-in/Ski-out Home + Hot Tub/Billiards - Trails Edge Lodge
Trails Edge Lodge offers exciting ski-out access for families and groups seeking a large, comfortable home with lots of amenities. Ski from your back door straight to the gondolas via the beginner Right-O-Way trail, and return at the end of the day (or for lunch!), walking up a path from the ski run to the house.
Remodeled with contemporary mountain style from top to bottom, Trails Edge Lodge offers roomy and fun lodging ideal for a family or group gathering.
A large open-plan great room offers multiple sitting areas on numerous couches and plush chairs. Enjoy a large-screen TV in one area or a toasty gas fireplace in another- the perfect place to gather with friends and family and relax. Loads of windows offer natural light and a game table makes for a place to challenge a friend at cards.
A fully equipped professional kitchen will allow you to create family meals with plenty of prep space and a large center island. Granite countertops, refinished floors, and new appliances are just some of the upgrades to this wonderful space. An adjacent dining area includes an 8-person dining table, a 6-person breakfast table, as well a breakfast bar with seating for three. A small deck has a gas grill for another cooking option.
Also on this level is a laundry room, access to the 2-car garage, a powder bathroom, and ample coat storage and cubbies in the front entryway.
With seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, guests will enjoy ample sleeping options. The upper level includes the spacious primary king bedroom with a fireplace, a TV, a handy desk for remote workers, and private deck access. A beautiful ensuite includes a jetted tub, a walk-in shower, and dual sinks. A split king suite next door has a TV and vanity with a sink and a shared hall bath. Two more upper-level bedrooms include a king suite with a TV and private bath, and another split king room that shares the hall bath. Both split king rooms can be used as a king bed or two XL twins. In the foyer at the top of the stairs, plush chairs offer a nice sitting area to relax with a book.
Just one flight down is the super fun kid's room complete with five twin beds, each named after a different ski run, a TV with Netflix, and an Xbox. On the far wall is a convenient vanity with two sinks, two separate toilets, and a shower. Just when it couldn't get any cooler, down one more level, kids of all ages will love the rec room with billiards, foosball, an authentic Ms. Pacman machine, a sitting area with a TV, a wet bar, and a half bath.
The lower level features a fun family room with a 75" Smart TV and plenty of comfortable seating. A sauna on this level is an added bonus to help sore muscles recover after a day of mountain adventure.
Two comfortable bedrooms are on the lower level, one queen and one split king, and share a bathroom. Both bedrooms have new carpet, lighting, and furniture and each has a vanity with a sink. All bathrooms have been upgraded with new tile, flooring, lighting, countertops, and fixtures.
Head outside to a large lower patio with a private hot tub to relax under the stars at the end of a magical day on the mountain. In warmer months, a covered patio area is a great place to hang out or enjoy miles of hiking trails on the ski area. If the kids aren't worn out, they will enjoy running around and playing in the large yard.
Also on the lower level is a large ski and gear storage room that is such a convenience when coming off the mountain, as a place to remove and dry your gear before heading into the house. Located off the lower patio, this tiled room has boot dryers, ski racks, and access to both the lower family room or take the stairs back up to the kitchen or great room.
In addition to a 2-car garage, there is parking for 2 cars in the driveway. Four-wheel drive is recommended in winter months as Trails Edge Road is steep.
SKI ACCESS: Guests can walk out of the ski room on the home's lower level and ski down a path that leads to the green-rated Right-O-Way ski run. To return to the residence, you'll ski back to path off Right-O-Way and walk up to the home.
Ski access is subject to snow conditions and weather. Availability may vary depending on resort operations.

We enjoyed our time at the house. Moving Mountains makes everything easy and is very helpful on many activities and thoughts to make your time at Steamboat fantastic.
The house is in good shape but is a slightly older house. Everything works well and it is very well equipped with everything you need especially during covid times as the grill and kitchen came into play a lot. Only negative is that two new very large houses have been built around this property so the views are limited. The walk to the slopes is easy so functionally it is a great property except the views are limited.

Moving Mountains
The rental was beyond my expectations. The customer service was impeccable. The location of then was amazing we came the week the mountain opened up and could see all the people skiing. It was my first time seeing snow along with some others because we are from Florida so this vacation will always be so memorable for me. Hoping to see Moving Mountains expand to other states. We will definitely continue to book through Moving Mountains whenever we are near. Thanks again for a memorable trip celebrating my 30th birthday!

We are thrilled to have been a part of your celebrations!! While we haven't expanded outside of Colorado (yet!), you can find the same guest experience in any of our homes in Steamboat, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, and Vail. Maybe a summer trip should be on your list- escape the heat and humidity of FL :).
Keep in touch!

So pleased that we found this property for the redux of our annual family vacation together. There are 13 of us total ranging from 12yo to 86yo, and this house was virtually perfect. Lots of space for us to spread out, multiple living spaces for watching TV or just relaxing, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Location on the mountain is ideal for winter especially, and in summer it's close to numerous trails for hiking, mountain biking, etc. Host company was in close contact leading up to our stay, regarding the check-in process, and super responsive during our stay re: a couple of very minor things that came up. We had a wonderful reunion and couldn't have been happier with the property. Thanks!
We traveled to Steamboat to celebrate our 20 year college reunion-11 women. The house was so much better than the pictures. We were able to really spread out. The beds were amazing, bedding warm, fireplaces, bathrobes, sauna, hot tub, pool table, plenty of towels.
We were able to hike right out the door up the MT. The house was a perfect fit for our girls weekend. We would highly recommend.

Moving Mountains
Everything about this property was an amazingly positive experience. A year planning a family vacation of 13 was a little intimidating but Moving Mountains rental company worked with me every step of the way to make it very easy. Our one week stay was so much fun, and the house was perfect. Conveniently located, spacious, and extremely comfortable, Trails Edge Lodge was perfect for our family. It’s a perfect home away from home!

Great location, tons of space, homey retreat in Colorado
Talk about the perfect family retreat! I'll never forget sitting in the gorgeous hot tub in the snow. With more than enough rooms, a spacious kitchen, and enough space for a small army, this house has everything you could possibly want for a ski trip with your buddies to a family reunion. It is very easy even for beginners to ski in and ski out of this property as it puts you right at the bottom of the mountain. It's privacy and silence makes it perfect to escape from the hustle and bustle of the lodge. I would come back here any day.

I will never forget this vacation. The ultimate Steamboat experience.
This house is one of a kind. It's like being in ski heaven. I could not ask for anything more. Ski-in, ski-out to unbelievable Steamboat "Champagne Powder," a massive house to fit all of your friends and family, and a huge outdoor lanai and yard for the kids to play and sled in the snow. This house is very private and exclusive, unlike staying at condos near the base. I love to cook and the kitchen is perfectly outfitted and situated in the house. The kids had a ton of fun running around the house and playing in the huge living rooms and the play room that has a pool table and foosball table. The house was very clean and appears to have new furniture. The views from the house are very beautiful. If you like to make first tracks, the house is within a 5-8 minute walk to the Thunderhead lift. We had someone drop us off at the lift instead. You literally take 10 steps from the back door and you can ski down the private trail to the slope. One thing that I really appreciated, is that the house is on a green run. It makes it very convenient for beginners to ski down to the gondola. I even used that green run to get some exercise and walked to and from the base. Although the house is on the slope, it is just far enough that I never heard the grooming machines late at night. Moving Mountains was terrific in accommodating us and the shuttle drivers that took us all around Steamboat were very friendly. I've been to many different ski resorts in the US and Canada and I have to say that this was the best house I've ever stayed in by far. This vacation will be a family memory that we will never forget. We had a "once-in-a-lifetime" vacation this December and I hope we can do it again and again. Hopefully it is not sold out once others get to experience what we did.

We went with a pretty large group of 20+ people. The house had more than enough space, considering we had 10 young kids running around. The house had everything needed for our stay and the key thing for us was the ski runs was right outside of the house. That made it easier especially when the kids needed to go back to the house for a rest. Great experience and we can't wait to return!
