My wife, Chuanxi, and I have lived a significant time in LA, SF, NYC, Chicago, Blue Ridge, the Smokies, and most Hawaii islands for years. Moving from one vacation rental to another, we are trying to build a home without anchoring to a place. We have spent one Thanksgiving in Bar Harbor (Maine), another Christmas in Seaside (Oregon), Fall in the Adirondack, and winter in Maui. We bounced from one place to another, but in every place, we felt a sense of belonging due to all of the memories that we made. We bought one-way tickets to each place and stayed as if we’d never leave.

With the growth of vacation rental platforms, we realized that we can replicate and share these experiences with all our guests: an environment filled with stability and security, a grand finale of your search for belonging in each destination, somewhere you would come back year after year, your home base, your shelter from the storm, a place to start your day, and a place to return to, a place you can be yourself and surrounded by the people that you love, a container for so many memories.
