CASA ANTIGUA is a 3000 square foot fully air-conditioned, luxury villa with two master suites and 2.5 bathrooms.
Rustic, wooden, double doors open to a domed ceiling foyer, which is finished with antique brick. From the foyer, the first glimpse of the ocean is seen, along with panoramic views through the living area, kitchen, and covered terraces. The water of the infinity-style pool appears to spill into the ocean in the distance.
High ceilings and open spaces bring the outside in and take the inside out throughout the living areas and both master suites. Doors, windows, and cabinets hand-crafted from native woods add richness to the vibrant color scheme.
The living area has a bar and built in entertainment center with flat screen television, stereo sound and FIBER OPTIC TRUE HIGH SPEED INTERNET. A U-shaped, gourmet kitchen features an island, breakfast bar, and pass-through window to the patio bar.
The two master bedroom suites include private water closets, double vanities, over sized tiled showers, built-in armoires, and walk-in closets.
From the terraces the infinity pool seemingly appears to spill into the ocean. From here views prominently feature Punta Dominical, which is distinguished by a small island approximately 300 meters from the shore. To the north are views of whitewater beaches and Manuel Antonio National Park. Excite your senses with the natural audio of birds, howler monkeys and the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean; visually with the first rays of sunshine warming the island tree and the last rays of sunlight illuminating the clouds while setting into the Pacific Ocean; savor nature's perfume, filling the air with the sweet aroma of the Ylang Ylang at sunrise and sunset. Enjoy all of these elements of nature as you sit on the terrace, reflect by the pool and relax in the harmony that is Dominical.
10 minutes from Casa Antigua is the Hacienda Baru Biological Reserve where you can Canopy Tour by zip line. 15 minutes from the house is Don Lulo's horseback water fall tour. The great surf break of Dominical Beach is a short 5 minutes drive from Casa Antigua.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must for the Dominical area.

I am a Texan that was then blessed to have the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica over 2 decades ago. A week in Dominical was all it took for me to decide that this is where I needed to be. I have been working in land development and real estate here for more than 20 years now. O how the time flies. Costa Rica is home for me. Dominical is The Real Costa Rica. There are few places in the world where jungle covered mountains meet the ocean. Come and experience it for yourself.
Why they chose this property
I chose Dominical because of its spectacular, pristine beauty. There are very few places on the planet that offer tropical rain forest covered mountains meeting the Pacific Ocean. The Dominical area stays green throughout the dry season, even when many parts of Costa Rica turn brown. The area is up and coming and the new infrastructure leading to it is getting better and better. This house is unlike any of the other 2 bedroom options in the area. The pool is bigger, the rooms and common areas are more spacious and the house is more private than other options you might consider. Furthermore, I live in Costa Rica and I am very involved with the community so I am able to better tend to your vacation needs.
What makes this property unique
You will enjoy complete comfort in a relaxing secure environment. Sunsets year around and a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. The location of Casa Antigua is perfect. Also, many of the homes in the area have great ocean views but for parts of the year do not have sunset views due to a poor angle. If you can see the sun, you will see it set into the Pacific Ocean 365 days a year from Casa Antigua.
