“Our Hideaway Chalet” Mi-Wuk Village - Wifi AC Heat Fireplace - Summer bookings!

Summer vacation is just a click away! Lake days, fishing, yoga, mountain biking, all just minutes uphill from the cabin. Whatever you are planning to do, our cabin offers a cozy yet spacious comfortable setting for your getaway.

Trade in the long drive home for a relaxing stay at our chalet! Our open concept cabin is nestled amongst the trees for you to relax in nature. It features a gas fireplace to cozy up, a spacious kitchen to cook meals with family and friends, while enjoying deck views from dusk till dawn. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms with King size mattresses ready to help you unwind for a restorative night sleep. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and both bedrooms feature sliders for views and deck access. Our living room features a sofa-sleeper with a new memory foam mattress to accommodate additional sleeping arrangements. Need to work? We've got WiFi (>400 Mbps), ample speed for multiple devices! We also have Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and an assortment of DVD classics from the 80s, 90s and 2000s!

Rather unplug?? We have board games and poker for friendly competition or books for a quiet read.

Bringing your little one? We have a baby gate, choice of high chairs, a playpen / pack n play and a few baby/toddler books and toys/bath toys.

Like most Mi Wuk Village driveways, ours is a little steep. A small SUV or larger will get you right up. As general advice, 4WD, AWD recommended for travel in snowy/icy conditions.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn off all AC or heat sources, with exception of the wall furnace during winter months of Dec-March (set to 55 degrees). See instructions posted in cabin.
Take trash cans down to the street at checkout Sat /Sun, OR by 830 am if checking out or staying thru a Monday. Please see instructions posted in cabin.
Leave all used beds UNMADE. Collect towels and bath mats into the laundry basket.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Not a rule but suggest you bring your SUV to best navigate our driveway. No long hitch no lowered cars. There is NO street parking.

Fantastic place to stay! Very well laid out instructions on everything that needs to be known and/or done in the home. The owners were fantastic to work with and they have a very nice place. Pay attention to their specific instructions on the parking. We would definitely stay again if they opportunity every arises.

Fantastic Getaway

Very nice Chalet in a very quiet mountain neighborhood. This place was everything I hoped it would be. Very comfortable and relaxing, the owner was fantastic to deal with. If we were to come up this way again I would definitely come back.

We absolutely loved staying in the Hideaway Chalet! It was immaculately clean and well- organized. The chalet was beautifully decorated and we just felt so comfortable and relaxed. The kitchen and bathrooms and everything in the chalet was spotless. It felt like a luxury mountain retreat. We would definitely stay here again! Also, the beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in

Fantastic cabin!!

We’ve stayed at lots of cabins in the Mi Wuk area and really loved this one. Great layout, super clean, and the owner thoughtfully supplied and labeled everything. Also there are individual AC/heater units in each room, which translated into great sleep. Do check with the owner ahead of time to confirm that your car will be able to drive up the steep driveway without scraping.

Great Stay, awesome hosts.

We rely enjoyed our stay. Miranda and Matt are super hosts who are very amiable and easy to work with. The cabin is set up wonderfully and we were very comfortable despite the sudden hot spell. The deck is a great place to read a book and sip morning coffee. We will definitely consider a return stay. Thank you Matt and Miranda!

Thanks for sharing your home. The only thing that was tough was that someone had turned the heat way down so it was freezing and tiik awhile to heat up the house. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return.

Very very clean and organized! They have so much for your stay, from seasonings to cook dinner, coffee machine & filters, to high end body washes, silverware, pots & pans. We had a wonderful stay, warm cozy home with plenty of blankets. Miranda is very helpful and quick with responses. She takes good care of who stays in her home. Highly highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at ‘The Hideaway Chalet’ for 4 days to celebrate our 46th Anniversary and we had a relaxing and refreshing stay. The cabin was clean and provided all the amenities we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were well stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching deer with fawns and wild turkeys graze on nearby foliage. The cabin is located a short distance from several nice places, Pinecrest Lake, Twain Harte and Cover’s Apple Ranch were a few we visited. It was nice to return to the cozy cabin after our outings. Miranda was very quick to respond to our emails and was very accommodating. Thank you for sharing your lovely ‘hideaway’ with us. It was a blessing.

Great place for a nice getaway

It was our first time in the area and it is very serene. The chalet is in a nice neighborhood that is close to many amenities and central to many hhikes. The host, Miranda, is awesome! They provided most of the amenities you need to have a relaxing stay. Definitely worth staying there again!

What a wonderful experience. The communication with the owners was easy and they answered all questioned quickly. Everything was clean and seemed updated recently. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Our children enjoyed the stay and there was games and a pack n play if needed. Would recommend staying at this cut cabin!

Cute Getaway

We were looking for a quick little place to getaway from work/city and were happy to have stumbled upon this place. The host is very helpful! She gave us some tips of places to eat and things to do in the area. The place is cute and was perfect for us and another couple we went with. We explore Jamestown to see the historic area and its also close to Twain Harte and Senora. Everyone in town was friendly and we would love to go again sometime soon!
