Our 4 Bedroom, 7 Bathroom home, perched high above the Animas Valley surrounded by Ponderosa Pines on 35 acres, offers the privacy and seclusion you're looking for in your Colorado vacation. You will be stunned by the breathtaking views out each window, generous one-of-a-kind woodwork, and stunning rock fireplaces. PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone. Guests are expected to pick up after their pets.

Our home features multiple living areas inside and out, a gourmet kitchen, an outdoor hot tub on the master bedroom deck, indoor heated saltwater pools, theatre room with game table and bar, two wood-burning fireplaces, dedicated office space, outdoor bar and grill area with fire pit. There is also a horseshoe area outside, which is the starting point of the private hiking trail on this 35-acre parcel. It's an amazing location for a true family get-away! With expansive views to the South and optimal access to hiking, mountain biking, skiing, Mesa Verde, and the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Train, you won't want to miss the opportunity to stay in this rare find!

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

GOOD TO KNOW:
There are ring cameras in a few outdoor spaces for security purposes.
In winter (November through April), 4WD is required. It is NECESSARY that you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, vehicles with medium to high clearance and winter/snow tires.

VRC CANCELLATION POLICY: If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
