About this property

Cozy and roomy cottage

This original grove keepers cottage with original tractor barn which once laid claim to an expansive working orange grove in the 1940's. Although the grove has been sold off and developed over the years the remaining 1 acre provides a private tropical sanctuary for its guest in the geographic center of charming Dunedin. .
Cottage #1, has a fireplace, Cottage #2 has tiki hut .


Less 10 minutes and you will be to the quaint shops and restaurants and right 15 minutes to Dunedin causeway and Honeymoon Island State Park. "About the property" as pictures illustrate, The gated property is a tropical oasis that the owners have nurtured over the last 20 years. Enjoy vistas of native and subtropical plants and trees. Start your day with a stretch in the private Zen garden, yoga mats provided.

Feed the turtles and Koi in the Koi pond. Take a dip in the lagoon pool (not heated) or just relax on the hammock under the tiki hut. Landscape lights on at night create a romantic setting for couples. "About the cottage", dine in style inside or out, upscale Bohemian furnishings combine with eclectic original artwork set the stage for a truly awesome holiday experience. You will be hooked and be back like so many of our guests, again and again.

The Mermaid was a lovely cottage in a lovely location. We especially liked the fact that it was pet friendly. Our dog Sarge absolutely loved watching the fish in the fish pond. And the huge old oaks on the property are priceless.

Was hard to believe this little tropical paradise was so close to restaurants, shops, and the beaches. It truly was a relaxing oasis for our trip to Florida. Loved the pool and feeding the turtles and fish in the pond. We will definitely stay here again.

Quiet Hideaway

Beautiful property. Just off the beaten path enough to be secluded and feel like you are in a remote tropical hideaway. Surprisingly quiet and yet close to downtown Dunedin and the beaches.The pool area is an absolute dream, a very relaxing area to chill out for a few hours.

We absolutely loved our stay here!The pool area was a tropical paradise (just wish the pool had been heated)! It was so relaxing and peaceful. Our unit was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.The location was perfect for us - Dunedin is a quaint little town, close to Clearwater, but off the beaten path.

Hidden Gem

This cottage is a hidden gem. Pushed far back on the property, you are immune to the sounds of traffic and feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The pool and jacuzzi area felt like key west. The cottage is the PERFECT size for a romantic couple retreat. I could not have been happier with the serenity of the pond, the privacy of the pool and hot tub area and the cottage.

A sweet paradise near Dunedin Downtown

We really enjoyed our stay, the property is absolutely perfect, a short drive to downtown and other area attractions like Safety Harbor. Property is in great condition, clean, beautiful and comfortable. We would love to stay again!

Quiet tropical hideaway

Beautiful property! Close to downtown Dunedin, shopping, restaurants, beaches, etc., but felt like you are a million miles away because of the lush tropical landscape. Accommodations are well appointed with everything you need for a wonderful getaway.

My husband and I have been married for over 50 years. We are boaters and beach lovers. Dunedin has so much to offer to our visitors, from beaches to wonderful restaurants . Shopping downtown Dunedin is a must .
