Ski Weekend at Sandisfield - Great for Groups

We had a great time at the Sandisfield property. We were three families spending New Year's together with all the kids. The pool table came in handy! We ski at Jiminy Peak which is an hour away, but well worth it because there are not a lot of large properties to accommodate groups near the mountain.

Very disappointing

I arrived to trash in the driveway, cig butts everywhere on property, dirty kitchen- filthy coffeemaker,pots &pans- broken disposal w other people’s old food,not enough towels & sheets-disgruntled caretaker came over and just said unclean dishes were due to hard water… I spent first 6 hours cleaning and all dishes were perfect after running in dishwasher- lazy maids, lights were out, broken plastic chairs-dangerous, broken grill -torn cover, no shower curtain liners, not adequate lighting in most bedrooms , no mirrors in any bedrooms, no furniture in bedrooms but beds and small nightstands.I finally hired my own maids to come in and clean the house …the oven was so dirty and gross you could not use. The owner would not take my calls and folks Vrbo is just a middle man they were empathetic but could not do any thing…the owner did reimburse me for the maids I had to hire. And finally gave me extra towels I had to wash first. The photos look great and there is a nice fire pit out back and a very very cold pool in house. And a nice pool table but not worth my $8000.00 for the weekend for the funeral of my mother. I was already stressed and to arrive to such a dirty cabin for my family was very disappointing. The owner could take some pride and pick up all the broken slats and curtain rods and clean cobwebs out of every window sill make the place great! I sent him 43 photos of things and he did not respond. Renter beware
