Sleeps up to 7 people. 4 HDTVs with live TV channels (including 1 in outside patio area), 200 Mbps Wi-Fi, free private parking, two wood-burning fireplaces, three porches, and firepit area. Enjoy the hot tub on a private deck overlooking the mountains.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Double Knob Mountain Community is nestled halfway between the quaint downtowns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Many of the cabins in this community have amazing views of the North Georgia Mountains and the bumpy, winding roads add to the charm of the area. Be on the lookout for some of our resident wildlife: a few momma bears and their babies love to roam the area.

**The road to the cabin is paved all the way to the entrance of the community and the last ~2 miles are gravel, mountainous roads. There are areas that are steep, winding, and partially unpaved. Depending on the weather, the gravel roads can become slippery, so 4WD or AWD is highly recommended. ** NO RVs or TRAILERS.

The community is on well water so water may have orange tint due to high iron content. It is filtered and safe to use.

I loved this Cabin!!

We had a great stay at this cabin. The location was great! Close to the orchards and vineyards as well as Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The Mountain view was amazing and the drive up wasn’t bad and totally worth it for the view. The cabin was very clean. I am looking forward to coming back!

Winter getaway

The cabin was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. Gorgeous views definitely a plus. We enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting by cozy fires. If you're looking for a place completely removed from the traffic and noises of busy life, this is your place no doubt. The only down side, it never lasts long enough. Great experience.

Beautiful and peaceful

This cabin has such a great location and view that you feel secluded but it is still convenient to both Blue Ridge and Ellijay. It was quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. The hosts were so responsive. We left some items by mistake and they were so kind contacting the cleaning crew and having everything mailed back to us. Definitely recommend!

Relaxing weekend getaway

All pros on this house - it’s clean, not far from downtown Ellijay, host was communicative, kitchen was well stocked, and it had beautiful views. Loved the screened porch and looking out at the mountains, and cuddling up on the front porch with the fireplace. We never used the hot tub and it was one of the reasons we booked this place - there was just too much to do! The road up to the house is a dirt road but was easy for us to navigate with an AWD vehicle. Thanks for a great weekend!

Beautiful cabin

This beautiful cabin was very clean and met all our needs. Our family had the best time and enjoyed the mountain views and our trip in to Elijay. The cabin had plenty of games and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The host was responsive--not that we needed anything. I only wish we could have stayed a bit longer. We had the best family Thanksgiving here with some very sweet moments. It's the perfect spot! I hope to return next year during October.

Not as expected

Be prepared to bones rattled on the 2 mile climb to the cabin. Road is horrible, 4WD would not have made it better. First night the downstairs toilet broke and the grill is missing key parts. The place seemed like it had been empty for quite awhile. The bedspreads were musty and smelly, ended up washing them . The secondary the cleaner came and fixed the toilet. Third day the toilet broke again. We have stayed in many rental cabins and this one was below par. The views were awesome but could not sit at the downstairs deck table because it was filthy. The host did refund the cleaning fee but I thought they should have done more.

Great stay

Lovely cabin in the mountains. Enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and TV. Wanted to also enjoy the fire pit, but as bears came right by the cabin the first night and another night, we were less excited about being down in the woods at that time of night. Didn't have any issues that needed addressing during our stay. I will say however to take note of the recommendations for AWD or 4-wheel drive vehicles. We managed to make it there and in and out with two minivans, but the approach road is very rough, not only steep but lots of potholes, dips, etc. Thankfully the weather during our stay was excellent, I'm not sure we would have been able to make it all the way up to the cabin in the midst of a downpour or with very wet roads. Be advised that when approaching the driveway, the road as well as the driveway make a steep incline. (Without momentum, my father was unable to get into the driveway with his minivan on the first attempt.) Also, while the listing says parking for 3 vehicles, it's really more parking for 2 vehicles. A 3rd vehicle might fit, but it would be rather precarious and blocking the other two in.
