✹ PARKING: Free parking is available for 5 vehicles in the driveway.
✹ WORK FROM HOME: There is free, high-speed wifi available throughout the home, plus a designated workspace in the living room and main bedroom.
✹ FAMILY: Traveling with little ones? We’ve got you covered with a few supplies including a Pack ’n play/travel crib and a toddler play area with safety gates.
✹ PETS: The place is pet friendly! There is a pet fee of $25 per pet per night (max 4 pets). Cleaning after pets stay typically takes much longer. If the pet fee isn`t collected automatically when you book, please reach out and we can process that separately.
Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions - I look forward to hosting you!
I won`t be around but if you need anything, please reach out! I might be in the area and can help out myself or one of the people that help me will.
We are 9 minutes from Stratton Mountain, 13 minutes from Mount Snow, 4 minutes from Grout Pond for great hiking, and 7 minutes to Wundorwoven, where you can pick up farm-fresh eggs for breakfast. I`ll send you a list of the best restaurants and activities around, ranging from snowmobiling adventures, hikes, breweries, and spas.
The only way to get around is really by car. The closest airport is the Rutland Airport (RUT), which is about 33 miles from Stratton, but you`ll still need a car to get around here. During the winter, I recommend all-wheel-drive, especially during winter storms. Getting to the house is easy and you won`t particularly need all-wheel-drive to get to the house, but the roads definitely can get slippery during snow storms.
✹ Easy self-check-in is available via the smart lock on the front door - I`ll send you a personalized code on the morning of check-in day.
✹ Please note that upon booking, I`ll ask you to e-sign a rental agreement. By booking, you agree to complete this step immediately post booking or the reservation may be canceled.
✹ The cabin is not wheelchair accessible.
✹ There are 2 Tesla boxes. This is a battery backup for the cabin in case the power goes out, not a car charger.
✹ No smoking.
✹ No parties or events without prior approval.
✹ The hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive. It is emptied, sanitized, and refilled on a regular schedule so that you have super-fresh water, and takes almost 10 hours to heat up after being filled up. If it is being maintained on the day you arrive, it may not be up to temperature that first night. I coordinate it for the day before if possible so that it is ready by when you check in, but it`s not always possible. If you’d like, I can also coordinate for it to be emptied and refilled specifically for your stay even if the service isn’t “due”, and you’d cover the service fee in that case.
✹ PETS: The place is pet friendly! There is a pet fee of $25 per pet per night (max 4 pets). Cleaning after pets stay typically takes much longer. If the pet fee isn`t collected automatically when you book, please reach out and we can process that separately.
✹ The A/C is only in the main bedroom, but it`s big enough to cool the whole upstairs (both bedrooms). I`ve personally never needed it in the 8 years of owning the house. It can get hot during the day in the summer, but it cools down significantly at night. There are maybe 4 nights out of the year when it`s uncomfortably warm at night, and that`s why I got the A/C unit :) It`ll only get hot in the bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs area never gets hot.
✹ The system will place an automatic `hold` on your credit card as a sort of damage deposit.

The host was very responsive, and the location was great. While the listing mentioned a washer and dryer, they were not available during our stay. We also found that there weren’t enough towels for four guests staying three nights, especially with a hot tub and no access to laundry. That said, when I messaged the host, he responded quickly and had cleaners bring additional towels, which we appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
We had a wonderful time staying here. The cabin was super clean, great vibe, and had everything we needed - and more. Tommy is wonderful, and responds very quickly should you need anything at all.
The house was perfect for a quick weekend away for my wife and I. Super private but close enough to shops and restaurants. Great outdoor space with hot tub etc.
Fantastic short lil vacation for my husband’s 40th! The listing was exactly as described (great amenities for this type of property!), the host was communicative and helpful, and the surrounding area was perfect for folks looking to do a little antiquing and a lot of relaxing!
My wife and kids, aged 1 and 2, had a great 2 night stay. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. The fire pit with the kids for smores was great and the hot tub at night under the stars was great! Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area, everything about our stay was enjoyable.
Quiet and comfortable cabin. Very clean. Serene location. Everything just as described. Lots of helpful information provided. Excellent communication from start to finish.

Great little getaway spot! Very quiet and comfortable in a beautiful remote setting. Easy access to resorts and small grocery stores. Great communication with owner. Look forward to visiting again!!
My daughter's and I had an amazing stay at the forest cabin. Close to the lifts and cozy place to call home when we got back from skiing. The hot tub was a big hit also. We will definitely be back!
We had a nice stay at this lovely place. It's tucked away at the end of a dirt road. We never saw another human only some wild turkeys. It was great to sit in the hot tub and look at the seasonal stream and the beautiful trees surrounding the property.
We had a blast here. The property was everything we needed. We were super hot the first day but they accommodated for us and gave us solutions. Very good host
My stay here was so enjoyable. The property is well kept and the babbling brook was such a peaceful retreat. The private, long driveway was easy to find and not muddy during mud season! The hot tub was so restorative after long adventures. I would absolutely stay again.
Tommy is a very thoughtful host and went above and beyond. I appreciated his Guide and suggestions and had a great weekend away with my family. Thank you Tommy!
Enjoyed our working holiday at the Stratton cabin. The remote location gave us the peace and quiet we were seeking; the wi-fi gave us the connectivity we needed for work. Loved spending evenings in the hot tub and at the fire pit. The host went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

Thanks David! I did put a lot of attention and love into making sure that the wifi was world-class to be able to work from the cabin myself. It was a pleasure hosting you! I hope I get to host you guys again.
We have a 15 yr old dog who we didn’t want to leave with family and fund thing gem of a house was perfect! Going the last week the mountain was open we went out once a day for a drink, but cooked everything at the house. It was the perfect getaway.
Cozy, comfortable vacation with my spouse and our dog. Sadly, it rained almost the entire stay so we didn't get to enjoy most of the outdoor amenities, but we still has a pleasant, relaxing time. Cabin was private and isolated, but still close enough to Manchester and Wilmington for us to have some fun despite the run.
This was perfect for a family of five and 2 dogs! It’s close to Stratton Mountain Resort (10 minutes drive). The outdoor space is great, lots of places for our dogs to explore. And we love the hot tub after skiing! Tommy is a great host and very informative throughout the entire process. Thanks!
Our family enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin! The outside, with the huge deck, hot tub, fire pit with nearby brook was just so relaxing and peaceful. The inside is quite cozy and comfortable. Tommy made the process so easy and provided lots of helpful information. We would love to re-visit in the summer months to experience more of Vermont!
This trip was just as wonderful as the first. Spent our second Thanksgiving in this beautiful and private setting. It snowed 13 inches on TG day and it was so gorgeous! Sitting in the hot tub with the snow falling was really perfect. Everything was provided and check in and checkout were easy. Located close to Manchester, we had fun trying out hand at glass blowing at Hot Glass..too fun! Would recommend this place to all.
