Welcome to our cozy cabin! We are just off I-29 in northwestern Missouri between St. Joseph and Platte City. Our property is 21 acres and includes a yard of 6 acres, fields and a wooded area. The cabin has a kitchenette with the necessary essentials and a small bath with shower, sink and toilet.

This is an open cabin. The only walls are for the bathroom. Inside the door is a combination kitchenette, dining area, living area (sleeper sofa), then a hall past the bathroom, with the bedroom behind the bathroom. There is no bedroom door. The bedroom has a full size bed, a full size bunk over it, and a twin size trundle that pulls out from under the bed. Hence the word "cozy." :)
We are in the country. We are on a paved state maintained road. We can see and sometimes hear our neighbors, but they are not "right next door."
We also have a stocked fishing pond. You may keep larger fish, but please don't keep the albino's or the carp. The albinos cannot reproduce, and the carp helps keep the pond clean.
There are 3 cabins on our property, so outside areas and laundry facilities will be shared.
This is a farm. We have dogs, cats, goats, chickens and ducks. If the thought of a bug, spider web, or strand of hair makes you cringe, this probably isn't the place for you. The cabin is clean between each visitor, but is not prepared for a forensic inspection. Thanks for understanding!

Our stay was wonderful. Peaceful and a great place for us to be able to take our two Australian shepherds. Our cabin was clean with all necessary items to make our stay wonderful. Our hosts were accommodating and great at communicating! We would stay there again!
Loved our stay here. It was a short drive to St.Joe for training camp each day we were there. Location was beautiful and hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Our littles loved seeing the goats, chickens, ducks, and pond. Our cabin had everything we needed and although we didn’t need it I loved that they had a cabin with a laundry facility. You will not be disappointed staying here and we will for sure be back again!
We LOVED this spot- perfect tiny house for three of us.
Loved the property and animals. Loved the comfort of having our dogs. Already want to plan a trip back!
We were there for my cousin’s graduation. My mom, husband, 3 dogs, and myself stayed there. It was immaculate, very quite, beautiful scenery. The cabin is just as advertised. We would definitely stay there again 😀
After reading all the reviews online we knew we were going to have an incredible stay, but it was honestly even better than we expected! The location is perfect. Just a short driving distance to everything we needed. The cabin was so clean and had everything we may need or have forgotten at home. Such a great place for our dogs to roam as well. Amazing stay! We will be back!
The Small Cabin on the Farm was just as described. The host thought of everything we could possibly need, and even provided extra snacks and drinks for the kids.
We really enjoyed our say at the small cabin! The cabin was so incredibly well thought out and the amenities were better than any other VRBO we have ever experienced. We got to celebrate our daughters birthday and enjoy Christmas with family while having the cozy and relaxing time for ourselves with our dogs back at the cabin. Thank you for your hospitality and we will definitely recommend others looking for a great place to stay around KC to look no further!
What a beautiful, friendly place to unwind after a busy week. We had everything we needed in comfort. The hosts provided lots of little thoughtful extras that most places miss. Finally, they were very kind in responding to my silly messages including when I locked myself out.
If you’re going through the middle of the states and you want a little peace of mind look no further . It is located far enough away from city life and the peace of the country that will help you to unwind . They made all the accommodations to us so we felt like it was a home away from home . We were waiting to close on our house so we wanted a good place for our dogs to run and our kids to be able to play . Thank you for allowing us to stay .
We had to travel to the Kansas City area for a wedding and we were bringing our 4-month-old puppy so we found the little cabin on the farm in lieu of staying in a hotel in the city! This location was perfect for us and we had an amazing stay! The hosts were fabulous and everything is as described online! Archie enjoyed playing with hosts' dogs Sasha and Tucker and meeting the goats! We would definitely stay here again! We wish it was on the southern side of KC as we travel on I-70 from CO to OH every year and it would be a perfect halfway overnight stay! We would definitely recommend!!
Absolutely wonderful little cabin on a quiet farm! They have the best sunsets in Missouri, no lie! I've stayed here a couple times and have more booked (my daughter goes to missouri western.) They are attentive, friendly, and helpful with anything needed. Also, a visit from the sweet Sasha (husky) was so enjoyed. They welcome your puppies too which is something you just can't find anymore!! I look forward to many more stays on the farm in the near future!

Thank you so much! We love your visits! We are getting 3 dwarf goats this week.
Normally my husband and I stay at a hotel while we hunt but this year we wanted to try out a VRBO instead. IM SO GLAD WE DID. The property is beautiful inside and out and it was just such a neat little cabin for my girls to play while their daddy hunted. Our in laws lives closer than any of the hotels too so it was nice to see them more. Where we hunt was also close to this property as well. Deer were seen but none are in the freezer but we will definitely be coming back!
