The space
Recently upgraded and beautifully furnished throughout, this luxury private two bedroom home is located within The Hideout, the premiere gated community of Lake Ariel. Featuring an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen, counter-height seating, elegant dining area with walk-out access to a relaxing covered deck with additional seating, dedicated workspace, and living room with a cozy fireplace and Smart HDTV.

Fully appointed kitchen with appliances, including stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with beautiful crisp new linens, pillows, and bed coverings. The master bedroom includes a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom.

Spacious living room features a comfy sleeper sofa, Smart HDTV, laundry area, front porch with furniture, screened in back patio with dining area, BBQ grill, outdoor fire pit, on-site parking, keyless entry, & access to some of the amenities the Hideout community has to offer!
Guest access
Guests have complete privacy inside the home and may enjoy full use of the outdoor amenities as well. Your welcome package includes three badges for use of the community amenities (additional badges can be purchased as needed/desired).

The Hideout community boasts a recreational sports complex, golf course, indoor/outdoor tennis, power boat lake, two sand beaches, two heated outdoor pools, fitness center, mini golf, art center, woodworker's building, ski lift & lodge and tubing run!

Please note: all guest seeking activities must follow the on-site requirements for registration. Availability for use (and/or fees) are as applicable for the amenities selected.

*All visitors information must be registered with the HOA at least 48 hours as this is a requirement. otherwise a $100 fee will be due. The information required can be seen in the manual and house rules.

We had an amazing week long stay! The house exceeded our expectations and was fully stocked with everything you could need and more! Loved the surrounding wooded area in the back but close proximity to the beach, fishing spots, pool and ski slopes( for winter of course) The house was perfect for us and our two children! The amenities of the hideout were fantastic! The host was very responsive prior and during the entire process, everything from booking to checking in was super easy! Already talking about going back !

Another great vacation at The Hideout

Another fantastic vacation at The Hideout. This is our second straight year that we stayed at this beautiful VRBO rental. Property manager is always very responsive and makes the check-in process very easy. The house is always well kept and with a kitchen that has everything you will need to cook and BBQ. The Hideout is a great vacation getaway. We definitely plan to rent again.

Had a great time.

Had a great time. So much to do in the community. Went skiing for the first time and we all had a blast. House had everything we needed and was very clean. Will definitely rent in this community again and maybe this house.

Very pleased

The property was very stylish and clean. I wish there had been a few basic spices In the kitchen to work with and since there was a keurig coffee maker perhaps a few sugar and non dairy creamer packets would have been nice. I think there needs to be some window shades or curtain in the living room area as it feels very exposed at night. Other than that the house had everything you may need for a week or weekend stay. The homeowner was very quick to respond thru the booking process. I would stay here again if it is available on my next visit.

Nice little house

This was a nice, clean, and welcoming little house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything one might need. We appreciated the kids items for our daughter (travel crib, booster seat, dishes, books and toys). The screened porch is lovely and we always enjoy staying in the Hideout with its beaches and other amenities. The host was very responsive. As another reviewer described, the lack of AC in the children’s room would have been a problem on a warmer week, but our daughter is young so we just moved her into our room for the stickiest nights and otherwise managed with fans and open windows. Overall we had a great stay and would return.

Property was not cleaned when we arrived. Dirty bedcover and sheets still on all 3 beds, dirty towels still in bathroom, dishes in the dish washer and on sink, counters dirty, toilet and sink not cleaned, fireplace did not work. Had to send video showing us turning on fireplace and it not working. Got instructions on starting fireplace but could not find the value they said to use. Housecleaner would not come out to clean the bed and bathrooms until next day. We had to find clean sheets and towels, and make beds. Unacceptable with covid. Sent 12 pictures to show the status of the house. Could not get cable tv remote to work. Housecleaner came next day and cleaned the house but left the dish washer full and dishes on counter. On several occasions we asked for a compensation from the amount we paid for cleaning but to date have not heard anything. We liked the house itself, but our experience was unacceptable and frustrating and upsetting that things were not as stated in the agreement and what we agreed to pay.

Exceptional House - you get what you see, and then some!

This house exceeded our expectations and is exactly as pictured. It was a great/safe spot for our littles, ages 2 and 5. Everything is exceptionally clean, fresh and new, from the decor, sheets, towels, furniture and living spaces down to the pots/pans, and all of the other kitchen accessories. The owners also included little extras as well - things like children's utensils and plates, laundry detergent, ziplock bags, foil, q-tips and shower essentials - so very thoughtful, useful and appreciated. The home is on a very cozy, quiet lot with a nice outdoor area. We enjoyed hanging on the front porch, the charcoal grill, the fire pit, and the screened-in outdoor porch. It is also close in proximity to the lake and pool, only a few minutes by car. The only hiccup we had was being unaware that the air-conditioning was limited to a single window unit in the master bedroom at the back of the house. We assume this is common for homes in this area, we just didn't know and thought there would be central air, or additional window units. It was a little challenging because it was hot during our stay (80-90) and the second bedroom where our littles slept averaged 75-80 degrees on our baby monitor. We ended up having to leave the master bedroom door open with a large fan (also provided by the owners, and new!) towards their bedroom keep it cooler. This worked well but also meant we had to leave their bedroom door open and be quiet so they didn't know we stay up late to watch tv and eat snacks without them! Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home. Hoping to book again during the colder months so we can enjoy the living room fireplace next time.
