Stayed with family and location to grand Marias was perfect for going into town but not being right in town. Enjoyed campfire, cards, and general family time.
Our family enjoyed our stay. It was like going to grandpa’s cabin. Kitchen was small but adequate. Two things: the fridge seemed to be on its last leg and didn’t keep some of our frozen foods frozen & the GFI power plug above the counter did not work.
Good house for a bunch of guys and a weekend riding sleds. Just down the road from trail 8 and a short ride to town. Comfortable with all the necessary amenities.
Property was as advertised. Close to trails. Thermostat automatically turns down to 63 at night, it was pretty cold and drafty so pack some heavy blankets. Overall very happy.
Property was great- really close to the trail and town. The only issue we saw was the kitchen sink leaked and obviously the owners knew about it because there was a bucket under the sink to catch the water which we learned quickly had to be emptied or it ran over.

Hi Harley.
Sorry about the sink, it has been fixed. It was a minimum drip and being so far up north with a full time population of 250, it takes some serious time and scheduling to book a plumber. We didn’t want to cancel your reservation due a small leak under the sink. In the future I would reach out to the host with concerns that the leak became an inconvenience so that perhaps I could have done something more for you while you were here. Sorry for your trouble.

Would be nice to open all windows without worry of bugs due to holes in screens. Musty odors noted in towels and upstairs. Dead bugs found in several rooms.

Hi Ann.
Apologies for the dead bugs, we are up north and the summertime influx of bugs can be a lot. We wash and replace all towels with every visit and if you discovered holes in the screens, giving us a call right away so we can get right over with screen repair wouldn’t have been an issue at all. Thank you for the review, because now I know there is an issue with the screens.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This property has lots and lots of beds! It worked well for just 4 of us--one couple and 2 singles. We were each able to have our own bedroom. But you could easily share with many more people.
Communication with the landlords was excellent. They also offered to check for a package we had delivered before out arrival, which I really appreciated.
The cabin worked great for our family trip. It is a little rough with a lot of the doors not shutting and locks not working or missing (both bathrooms don't have locks and the window in the shower was interesting). It was clean and had lots of beds. Smart TV with WiFi worked great as well as very good Verizon service kept the kids happy when we were not outside. Much closer to town then the map shows (this was good and bad as we had hopped to ride quads from the cabin but it was nice for our trips to Grand Marais)
