About this property

Spectacular direct waterfront with rooftop hot tub 360 degree views.

Direct waterfront on Long Island sound. The house feels like you are out over the water --and you almost are. Beach tides come up close at high tide and the tides change ever six hours.

On the rooftop deck is the 6 person hot tub, and plenty of room to hang our and get some sun while you can see water below on almost all sides.
Inside are 2 fireplaces one is in the master bedroom that also has great views of the water. There is also a boat dock attached to the parking across the street on the inlet.

Charming setting and interior for a wonderful experience with all up to date amenities.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please also turn down the AC if it is on and be sure the hot tub is off and covered if used. Also please place all the outdoor pillows back inside and cover the rooftop lounge.
Trash can be laced in the barrel out front under the house.

Beautiful location close to Penfield Beach

We were in town for a family reunion and this place was perfect! We were able to have our own space between events to relax, cook some meals and enjoy the Long Island Sound!We were very thankful for the dog friendly place and multiple bathrooms!

What an amazing house, absolutely beautiful surroundings. Our first trip to Fairfield - love the town, love the neighborhood! The host made the process super easy. This is going to the tops of our local trips list. The only problem is we booked for just 2 nights. This was a home away from home, and we hate to leave.

Great house right on the water!

Directions and check-in were communicated clearly. The house was clean and well maintained upon arrival. It was stocked perfectly in the kitchen and bathrooms. We loved the views from each deck and especially the roof top! The hot tub was clean and worked great. The beach does disappear for the later part of the day but that wasn’t a problem for us since we don’t really swim. Overall a perfect stay and a great host!

Right on the water and multiple levels with a direct view of the sound. Not to mention a hot tub on the top deck. We had a great stay and would definitely rent it again!

This property couldn’t be in a more summery spot. With beautiful views, a local beach nearby and great bars, restaurants and activities nearby, you can’t go wrong. So glad we chose this spot for our family vacation! :)

The most wonderful two weeks

My husband and I had a lovely two week stay. We enjoyed amazing sunsets from the deck off the primary bedroom and the hot tub on the roof. The neighborhood was quiet and great for walking in the mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the beach and used our paddle boards daily. We’ll be back.

Great location and responsive owner

First time visitor to the area with a family of five (spouse, two teenagers and a 15 month old). We spent a long weekend here and found the property owner, Joseph, to be a pleasure to work with. He was very helpful and responsive from booking until checkout. The views from all over the house are amazing and the rooftop area with a hottub overlooking the water was a hit with the kids and adults. The area is quiet and family friendly with plenty of great options for dining out. The master bedroom provides a breathtaking view to wake up to and the two other bedrooms are quaint and great for kids. The few downsides were the lack of any usable beachfront (high tide brings water beyond the house and low tide leaves a very rocky and jagged space before the water) and the house needing some cosmetic upgrades on the inside (some furniture was stained/worn, beds were below average, decor seemed to be missing off some walls). Overall, a very nice experience and we would recommend this property for families looking for a short getaway!

Fairfield beach house

The property was largely as-advertised and owner provided some helpful information in advance of check-in. That said, a few things to keep in mind: - The beachfront is quite small at this end of Fairfield Beach Road and the water comes up under the house during high tide - The property has an infestation of ladybugs (or Asian lady beetles - v hard to tell which), which are all over the ceiling of the living room, sun room and upstairs bathroom. Harmless bugs but the property could easily be improved with a visit from Terminix or Orkin - Most importantly, the AC works well but the house could use a duct cleaning. This typically costs a homeowner $200 but would materially improve the air quality and reduce the dust in the air from the unclean vents. My wife and I both developed throat irritations and sinus issues during our stay, which immediately cleared up two or three hours after we got back to our home. The issue was bad enough that we almost left a night early All around, a nice location and was nice to have a change of scenery while waking up to the ocean out your window. And the bug and dust/cleanliness issues are things that could be easily addressed.

Beautiful oceanfront property

This was really a beautiful property and pictures didn't quite do it justice! During high tide the house sits in the water and you are surrounded by the beauty. The house has pretty much everything you could need--beach towels included--and was clean and just the right size for our group.
