Awesome place.Has everything you need.Close to a lot of stores and not a bad drive to other spots.Only reason it’s not a 5 star is the road noise. Its on a road that has a lot of trucks on it non stop
Cozy 3 bedroom near Louisville, the Bourbon trail, and other attractions. Close to the interstate for quick excursions and getaways.
Would recommend if wanting to explore this area.
The host was absolutely wonderful even before we booked. The house was clean and tidy. It was a really great location for us as we were easily able to jump on the highway. I would definitely stay again! 😊
The house was easy to find and the owner was extremely responsive. From dishes to pots and pans to shower towels to extra blankets, there wasn't a single thing we had to go without.

Busy highway, in need of a deep cleaning
We loved how close this property was to what we wanted to do, distilleries. However with its location right on a highway and having no curtains in the bedrooms sleeping was anything but easy. Additionally this property was clean, but in desperate need of repair and deep clean. From spider webs above the cabinets to cracking in the drywall in most room there's some work needed. If you need a crash pad during your vacation this is perfect but I wouldn't suggest it.

First timer
This was my first experience renting a vacation home using Vrbo. Please keep this in mind while reading my review as I do not have much history to judge my expectations. The house was very clean however the amount of room fresheners was overwhelming. I went around to each room and unplugged them for the the week of my stay.

Very clean home
The house was very clean and well equipped. It is very close to a highway that has near constant semi-truck traffic that is very noisy and due to the warehouse location right behind the house, goes nearly 24//7. Overall a nice place, but the noise level from the trucks was a challenge for sleeping if you are a light sleeper. We had four adults and I was the only one who had issues sleeping.
Located in a busy road but close to everything. It had everything we need for us and our dogs. The property manager was awesome and very hospitable. Would definitely stay again.
Great spot to stay if checking out Bernheim, local distilleries, etc. Would gladly stay again

About the host
Hosted by Rachel Green
Welcome to the area and thank you for checking out our property! My name is Rachel and I manage rental properties with my mother-in-law Trish.
I live nearby, within 10 minutes, of our Shepherdsville rentals (The Clubhouse & Cedar Forest House). My husband and I are always on the go with my 2 children (ages 10 & 8). We love to hike with our beagle Daisy, explore new places, drink bourbon and hang out at Nolin Lake. I am a CTA (Certified Tourism Ambassador) to Louisville and love to volunteer at Louisville's only non-profit cat cafe, Lucky Cat Cafe.
Trish is a Louisville native and local real estate agent. She has been a top agent in the Bluegrass for over 16 years. In her spare time she likes visit wineries, go down to Nolin Lake or hang with her 2 beautiful grandchildren.
Trish and I are always a text of phone call away. Have a question? Just ask!
Why they chose this property
We love the convenience of this home! A lot of guests come to visit the area for Bourbon Tours and to check out local wineries. This home is the perfect spot in between Bardstown and Louisville and is conveniently close to the interstate. We are also close by to hospitals or large distribution facilities/manufacturing facilities nearby for our guests traveling for work.
