Syringa Place - A quiet 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house

This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a quiet neighborhood close to many of the attractions of Galveston Island including the ferry terminal, beaches and downtown Galveston. It has a the conveniences of a home such as full kitchen, laundry facilities, patio for relaxing and fenced backyard.
A note about the environment: We take great care to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests, including regular pest control treatments. In a sub tropic environment like ours, it is possible to encounter a few bugs indoors despite our best efforts. If you come across any, please know that it's a common occurrence in hot humid coastal areas. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any pest related concerns during your stay so that we can address it promptly for your comfort.
Also note that the island is home to coyotes. They roam the entire island including streets, neighborhoods and beaches. They are mostly seen at night, but might be sighted in the early morning. They are a fascinating hybrids of the endangered red wolf. There are no known attacks on humans, but they could potentially be a hazard to loose pets.
A note regarding the bathtub: For a reason yet to be determined the bathtub drains slow. This is exasperated when excessive sand is washed off in the tub. Please rinse off excessive sand outside before using the tub or shower.

Fantastic home away from home

The house is wonderful. Everything was clean and the vast majority of our needs were provided for by the host. When something was in short supply, more was brought to us. The location is fantastic. We were a short drive from the beach and many attractions. I 100% recommend this house for a trip.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here during Thanksgiving. The house was so nice, clean and cozy. It was such a great place to relax and unwind. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was wonderful. The property manager was just a delight in this quiet neighborhood. We were close to the beach and attractions but not too close. We are looking forward to coming back!

Galveston Vacation

The communication with the owner was great. Real respectful and friendly. Answered all my questions in a timely manner. The house was very comfortable and relaxing. Our kids had a great time at the house. The house is close to all your needs. Will recommend to everyone that wants to rent a beach house.

the house was better than what the description says it was! the location was quiet...the only suggestion is to add lighting in the bedrooms that is brighter. The house is easy for low vision or blind persons to get to and fro in! I will recommend staying at this home !!!

Great stay

Exactly what we expected from the descriptions Close to all areas we were interested in. Loved the chairs on the front porch. The only thing wrong was the pellets for the pellet grill were no good. We did get enough heat though to cook our burgers. We did pick up the throw rugs as it was too slippery for us old folks.

Love Galveston

The neighbor was nice and quiet, but the house could have been cleaner. The microwave was dirty, and the coffee pot still had dry coffee in it. Also, the freeze had a frozen bag of unknown in it (still there). I t was disappointing we could not use the backyard because there was trash and stuff left from barbequing and tall grass even through Andrew offered to have it mowed.

Christmas Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this location. While the stove was not functioning at 100%, we were still able to utilize it and prepared many meals in. We grilled out Christmas dinner and the steaks came off the grill delicious. If we had any questions or issues they were quickly resolved. My girls had fun playing with some unexpected toys in their room. The beach chairs and sand toys in the garage were great for us unseasoned beach travelers. I tried to pack the dishwasher up with us as it works way better than mine. The washer and dryer in the garage worked great too.

Home away from home

Our family immediately fell in love with this home It is decorated adorably highlighting the history of Galveston and is so close to the beach. We are a family of 6 with 2 dogs with kids ranging from grade school to college. The backyard was perfect for the dogs. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Although we are originally from a neighboring town, we now live out of state and have to travel to visit family. We are too large of a family to crash at a family member's house which lead us to start using rentals. We were also pleasantly surprised how close it was to a family members home which was an additional bonus for us. We loved that the living and dining room was spacious so family from the area could visit us instead of traveling to them. I personally loved the kitchen. Although most people love to eat on the island we chose to eat all meals at the house. We feel like we finally found the place where we desire to stay when we come "home." Andrew was great about answering questions and has been the best host that we have had. We were also grateful we didn't have to bring our beach chairs/umbrellas with us as they have some for guests to use. Thank you to Andrew and his family for sharing their beautiful home with us.

My family enjoys the outdoors. We spend most of our time in a rural area near Boise Idaho, but are looking forward to spending more time in Galveston as time allows. I grew up on a small island in the Puget Sound of WA state and while I love the forests and mountains of Idaho I have been missing the salt water.
