Welcome!
Our cozy, four season, family cottage is situated on Lake Eugenia, considered to be the `hidden gem of Grey County`. Outdoor living and experiences are a must for guests at Red Rooster Point. Enjoy the following:
Large private deck with 180 degree lake views. The deck is furnished for comfort with lounge chairs and outdoor dining set. Enjoy our sunken hot tub to relax after a day of adventure in Grey County. Gather by the fire pit adjacent to the lake - the perfect setting for marshmallow roasts.
The cottage is cozy and services well for a family. The open concept living/dining/kitchen walks out to our large deck with exceptional views of the lake. The lower level has three bedrooms with above grade windows. The lower foyer lends as a mudroom with numerous hooks for outdoor wear.
Guests will have access to the entire Cottage.
The outbuilding (Shed) is not available for guest access.
We are available for contact should any concerns or questions arise - we aim to deliver the optimal stay experience!
This ‘ideal retreat’ welcomes guests with close proximity to the communities’ rich food, art and activity culture! Located within 25 minutes of these popular small towns: Clarksburg, Heathcote, Collingwood, Thornbury, Kimberley, Flesherton, Meaford, Markdale. We are centrally located enabling guests to access Bruce trails, cycling roads, the Beaver River and local food producers and restaurants.
No public transportation - this is a rural setting and requires personal vehicle(s).
Please note: Summer 2024 - active cottage construction at neighbouring property during the weekdays. This may result in mechanical/contruction noises, distracting from our peaceful/tranquil spot.
Disclosure: The cottage is not baby/toddler proof: no gates, no electrical covers or cabinet locks.
Disclosure: Children should always be supervised outdoors on the property.
Disclosure: We only accept reservations of 5 nights or more. On occasion we will make exceptions.
Additional rules: There is a Guest Guide on the kitchen counter which outlines the House Rules and will assist in orienting yourself to the house and the area.
SMOKING: Smoking is allowed outside only. Please take great care to avoid any damage or fire and dispose of cigarette butts appropriately.
PETS are permitted with pre-approval from hosts. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet and we ask that you bring their own bed (no dogs in human beds or on furniture please).
DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. No feminine products or Kleenex should be flushed at any time. Guests will be responsible for any damages arising out of failure to comply with this rule. The water from the tap is safe for consumption.
OUTBUILDINGS: For your safety, we ask that you not go into any of the outbuildings. They are private and locked for guests’ safety.
KITCHEN: PLEASE WASH YOUR DISHES after use. If dishes are not washed, extra cleaning fees may be applied. Please do not move or rearrange the furniture at anytime.
