We stayed here for annual birthday trip. It was such a cute place! The kitchen had everything we needed, fire pit was easy to work, and the views all around were gorgeous!

I appreciated that the property allowed pets and that the water got hot and stayed hot. Unfortunately, that’s the only good things. The floors were very dirty; dead bugs under the beds; small fecal droppings on top of and under the pillows of one of the beds; broken/malfunctioning furniture; what appeared to be mold in kitchen cabinets…We left early as we all got very sick. This vacation was a bust for us.

Thank you for your feedback. We take cleanliness and maintenance seriously and have reviewed your concerns with our cleaning and inspection team.
• We did not observe evidence of pest activity during post-checkout inspection. However, we did identify some loose fabric pilling on one bed that may have been mistaken for debris, and we have updated our laundry and linen checks to prevent this.
• We found an early area of moisture-related buildup inside a cabinet above the stove. This has been treated, and we have added cabinet interior wipe-downs and ventilation checks to the turnover checklist.
• Your comments about floors, under-bed areas, and furniture have been addressed with the cleaning crew, and we have implemented a more detailed inspection protocol between guests.
We regret that your stay did not meet expectations and that you chose to leave early. If issues arise during a stay, we encourage guests to contact us immediately so we can address them in real time.
We loved our stay here. This place has all of the comforts of home with stunning views and great amenities. The hosts have really thought of everything. We would definitely stay again!
Very clean, this place had everything you need plus very quiet . Wonderful front porch swing to have coffee on in the morning listening to the birds. Would love to return some day.
We had a softball tournament the weekend we were there so we were barely there. But it was nice and relaxing. Beds were super comfy! It was a real homey feeling!
The door lock can be sketchy and was saying not authorized and not letting us even put a password in which was a bit scary but after about 20 mins it gave in

I am sorry you had issues with the smart lock. It has a safety feature to make that alarm sound and deactivate for 5 minutes if there are 5 failed passcode attempts. I have added that info to the access instructions in hope to help future guests not have the same issue. Apologies again.
If you are running the Pinhoti 100 and need a place for you and crew to stay this is a great option. 10 min drive to Adam’s gap aid station. 15 min to Cheaha lake. 25 min to Pinnacle aid. Super easy for crew to come here and rest during down times.
Also didn’t realize how helpful it would be to have a ramp into the house until after the race. That ramp was a God send on sore legs
Owners were great to communicate and have set it up well with amenities, etc.
No problems. House was well stocked. Everything worked. Close to Cheaha Park. Anniston wasn’t to far if you plan on mountain biking Coldwater Mountain. It was a great basecamp for hiking and mountain biking. Explore the ridge behind the house. You can’t miss it. Great view. Communication was easy with the owners. No problem with electronic door lock.
It was a great base camp for our time in Alabama. We were able to visit the Space & Rocket museum in Huntsville, two days at Talladega Superspeedway, and lots of back country exploring. The ramp into the house and walk in shower were a great benefit for accessibility issues. We would definitely recommend for travelers coming through this area.
This property is located close to several waterfalls and not a bad trip to whitewater rafting. The cabin is clean and has all the amenities of home. We would definitely stay here again if we travel back to the area.
Our family of five includes three boys. We love taking trips to our cottage, which serves as our escape to the countryside, offering serene mountain views and unobstructed stargazing due to the absence of city light pollution. Crystal finds joy in listening to the distant sound of the passing train, while John relishes in sitting outdoors by the fire.
Why they chose this property
Lineville is a quaint town situated in Clay County, Alabama and is famously known as the “Scenic Cross Roads of East Alabama.” The city celebrated its centennial in 1998 as an incorporated city, but its history goes back much further, when it was known as Lundy’s Cross Roads.
Cheaha State Park is just a short distance away and can be spotted from the front porch. If you plan to visit the park, please note that it has an admission fee for day or annual passes. According to the Alabama State Parks website, Cheaha Resort State Park, established in 1933, is the oldest park in Alabama and is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. The park spans 2,799 acres of rugged terrain, with granite boulders, windswept trees, and an elevation of 2,407 feet above sea level. The park is surrounded by the Talladega National Forest, which spans over 392,567 acres, including 7,245 acres of Cheaha Wilderness. It is truly a one-of-a-kind destination that shouldn't be missed.
Other nearby attractions include: Talladega National Forest, Pinhoti Trail, High Falls Branch Trail, Cheaha Wilderness Area, Chief Ladiga Rails to Trails Bike Route (joins the Silver Comet in Atlanta), Coldwater Mountain Biking Trails, Historic Downtown Heflin, Wine Tasting Trail, Choccolocco Park, Freedom Riders Park, Oxford Center for the Performing Arts, Talladega Super Speedway, Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure, and historic Kymulga Grist Mill Covered Bridge and Park.
