Beautifully updated inside, but lacking none of that Northwoods charm you crave, this lakefront getaway offers the best of both worlds. Painted a cheerful cherry red, this lovely home sits on private Bass Lake. If the weather permits, have your morning coffee on the huge, waterfront deck, watching the lake wake up – the double, waterfront Adirondack swing is another great place to while away the day.


Inside, you’ll find an open layout with modern furnishings, tons of natural light, and views from every angle thanks to the lakefront picture windows. Hardwood floors, knotty pine walls, and a natural stone fireplace complete the Northwoods look. The chef will love cooking in the updated kitchen, with a full suite of stainless steel appliances and lots of counter space. Dine together at the round table for six before heading out to explore. You’re surrounded by natural beauty – hiking, biking, snowmobiling, ATVing, and boating are all nearby depending on the season. You’re roughly three miles from a public boat launch for access to the 28 Chain O’ Lakes, and five miles from downtown Eagle River.

After a day of exploring, save time to enjoy the private, a great place to steam away the day. Head inside and retire to one of two comfortable living areas, each with a wood burning fireplace and plenty of comfy seating, after a eventful day outdoors. Watch TV upstairs, or grab a board game and gather downstairs for some more together time. Drift off to sleep with one perfect Northwoods day behind you, and another to come tomorrow.

beautiful setting

The home is set on a beautiful and quiet lake. It is really a perfect setting. The home is also quite nice but it would be fair to say that the home's amenities are minimal. The beds not particularly comfortable, the pillows AWFUL, the kitchen poorly stocked (there are two cereal bowls for an example) and one pot. Still, the house is certainly comfortable and in a picture perfect setting.

Nice place!

The lake view was amazing. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the morning and it was very peaceful. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend booking this home.

Awesome weekend away up north

Great home with beautiful view overlooking the lake. Didn’t catch many fish but got a lot of miles on ice skating! Great time with the family.

Nice, quiet winter getaway

Quiet lakefront location was perfect for a winter getaway for our family. The house was in a secluded area, but just a short (10 minute) drive to town. The house features a heated, attached garage, wood-burning fireplaces (YOU supply the wood), plenty of beds, and a great view overlooking Bass Lake to the east.

Great location to downtown Eagle River

Furniture, bathrooms, fireplace were very nice. View from kitchen window and eating area is beautiful. Outside grounds were not as well maintained as the inside, but we didn't spend any time outside since the weather was cold.

Wonderful stay for family!

We had a great time at this house for a 4 night, 5 day stay! We did a lot of floating and paddling — it is a bit mucky/weedy right by shore, but if you’re able to paddle out, it’s very nice! They had 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards to use. The kitchen was well stocked with items to use for cooking. We had nightly bonfires - wood for sale close to the house! We saw lots of loons, fawns in the lawn where we played kickball, frogs, and a snake who liked to startle us by the water ;) We lucked out with an amazing Northern Lights show our first night. Thank you for sharing your wonderful peace of the Northwoods with us!

Nice lake house for family

This lake house has a lovely setting and is nicely updated. The house was very clean when we arrived and there were plenty of comfortable beds for our family. The bathrooms were fabulous with lots of fluffy towels. The kitchen area was a little small for our family and only provided the very basics. One suggestion would be to add plastic plates and glasses for kids. The outdoor amenities were a little disappointing for a summer vacation: only 4 chairs on the deck, the pier is in a bit of disrepair, and the description of the house mentioned "kayaks" but there was only one kayak. However, the lake is a nice clean lake and we enjoyed swimming and catching panfish off the pier.

Bass Lake Gem

This vacation home was clean, quiet, comfortable, up to date, and in excellent condition. It is a perfect vacation home for multiple families as there is living space and bedrooms on two floors. The property itself is beautiful. There are windows that face the lake all across the home. Great views! Sandy bottom, spring fed lake. We brought kayaks and the guys caught plenty of fish - bass, pikes, crappie, perch, and blue gill. Too chilly to swim while we were there, but there is a nice pier and a nice swimming area. Our one complaint was that our VRBO messages weren't answered. I have talked to the property manager about this problem, and hopefully her solutions will alleviate this problem for future renters. Once I got in touch with Vacasa, there was good communication. Overall, we'd highly recommend this vacation property.

Great Location - Missed Opportunities

This home does not create value at the same level as other houses on the same lake. We had the opportunity to compare several, as we were there for a family reunion and others were staying in nearby homes. This house had the best views, but the dock is in bad disrepair and the inability to have a boat is really a missed opportunity, big time. Compared to the other homes we visited, which were clearly set up for rental with lots of guest amenities, this home seems more hastily organized for rental. The furniture is all relatively new, but it's got the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM of amenities, so just know what you're getting into and bring whatever you will want to have available. Good bones here; just not well appointed. The Internet did not support video calls well, which was a huge problem for us. We paid a similar rate to what others were paying for homes on the same lake, and felt like this home didn't deliver nearly the same value. The sunrise view is AMAZING! But it's missing a lot of little touches that would made it an awesome stay. Easy to fix.

Great family home for our Christmas break

We absolutely loved our stay at Lakefront Oasis. Beautiful views with lots of snow, modern and cozy interior. It was very cold during our stay, but the fireplaces kept us warm and comfy. Saw deer and bald eagles, did snowshoeing and had birds eating seeds from our hand, rented a snowmobile and explored beautiful trails. Eagle River has a cute town center with some nice bars and restaurants (we loved breakfast at Lucy’s Lunchbox and cheese curds, flatbreads and a local beer at The Craftsman). Definitely recommend staying here. We were sad we had to leave after 6 nights.

Beautiful Property on a Private Lake

This is a beautiful property on a private lake with incredible views. We enjoyed our stay here but were very disappointed to learn that after trailering our boat four hours, we were unable to launch it or use it on this lake which was the reason we chose this property. The description of the property should make this more clear! Attempted to contact the owners with no response. Also for anyone else planning to bring a boat, watch out for the entrance of the driveway as my skeg hit causing my transom saver to rip away and almost ruin the transom on my bass boat. When I walked back to check it out, I saw several more scrapes on the driveway from others that experienced the same.

Beautiful Getaway

My wife and I went up to the Eagle River Lakefront Oasis for the weekend. We saw a whole bunch of wildlife including deer, loons, a porcupine, eagles and much more. Casting off the dock the fishing was great. The snow was gently falling all weekend which just added to how perfect this tirp was, creating a true winter wonderland. Such a treat!

relaxing week with family

great property, worked well with the family (6 adults, 3 kids). nice water landing. quiet lake was enjoyable. Things to address - stairs have taped carpet -not attached well / caused one fall - so we removed. lack of outside chairs made sitting at firepit a problem. One plastic chair available (unsafe), water area has lots of broken trees - hard for kids to use area for play. inside eating table and chairs not made for kids or adults. difficult to sit and unsealed top difficult to clean after meals. would like to rent next year but the inability to launch personal boat on lake is an issue. these issues aside it was a warm and nice place with plenty of yard space to play games.

An absolute gem!

This property is an absolute gem! We were looking for a quiet week for our family, and we got exactly that. The house is on a secluded lake, well appointed and clean. We took a paddle board along and used the kayak provided. The kids swam and fished right off the dock. Stunning views from inside the home. We can't wait to return next summer!
