About this property
The Fox Hole: Minutes to Beavers Bend, Broken Bow Lake & Hochatown
Retreat from the hurry and haste of everyday life at our classic cabin nestled near Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures or spending a weekend cuddled up with a good book, The Fox Hole Cabin is the perfect haven.
The Space:
The Fox Hole Cabin is both simple and luxurious, set against idyllic views of pine trees.
The cabin sleeps 8. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a King bed, and a loft with two twin bunk beds, all with foam mattresses, luxurious linens and cozy blankets.
The open great room is the perfect spot to relax after a day of outdoors. There is a kitchen stocked with all the essentials and a dining table for gathering. On warmer days, enjoy the deck with outdoor seating, cook some BBQ, relax by the fire pit in the comfy Adirondack chairs, and partake in a game of horseshoes, while the kids play on the nearby playset.
The cabin also includes a washer/dryer, towels, and an initial supply of firewood. A portable baby/toddler crib is available under the bunk beds. If you must work during your stay, there is a desk near the front door with a power strip equipped with extra outlets and USB ports. It’s truly a home away from home to call your own.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property, minus the owner's storage cabinet and closet in the kitchen and on the deck outside, in addition to the well access in the center of the driveway.
Guests will receive a passcode from Nest prior to arrival. This passcode is auto generated and will become inactive after checkout time. For the safety and security of guests, the passcode is changed after every guest.
Other Things To Note:
Please note that this property is in the woods, and bugs are normal year-round but specifically prevalent in the Spring and Summer months. We have a contract with a pest control company who regularly services the property, but because the cabin is in Oklahoma in the middle of a forest, there will be bugs. These bugs are typically seen outside, however, if the doors and windows are left open, it is a possibility that they will welcome themselves inside.
If traveling with kiddos, be cautious on the stairs and going up to the loft. In addition, the cabin includes a small playset on-site that children (under 5 years of age) may utilize at their own risk. We suggest no more than one child on the playset at a time.
Please also note the driveway is at an incline, and it may be difficult to maneuver if traveling with a trailer hitched to your vehicle or a larger vehicle such as an RV.
Our cabin provides firewood for an initial fire at the fire pit. Thereafter, if guests choose to utilize firewood on-site, we charge $20 for each 10 pieces of firewood.
