My wife, 2 dogs and I stayed here last week. It's perfect if you're into hiking as there are several awesome hikes nearby and the hot tub is an awesome finish when you're done.
Vanessa is a great host. The house is beautiful and well located. Communication was great and check-in/out was very smooth. We will definitely come back.
Group of my closest friends from high school stayed on Red Hill Mountain at this superbly rustic and comfortable Claryville farmhouse. Each of us taking respite from work, family, kids, spouses and modernity, we all spent "Groundhog's Day" weekend hiking, hot tubbing, cooking, watching a movie* and relaxing by the fire. With most stores more than a half-hour away, we took advantage of the large versatile farmhouse kitchen when preparing our meals; which were needed after the 2-mile round-trip hike up Red Hill mountain for a 360-degree view of the Catskills. Despite the colder temperatures, you'll want to re-live your days here over and over; we'll sure as heckfire remember this trip for a long time.
We spent the loveliest week at this incredible property! We were on our honeymoon, just the two of us, and when we arrived we were greeted by the sweetest note, with wildflowers, and bubbly in the fridge! 🥰 Vanessa was very friendly and responsive via the VRBO app, totally flexible when our travel plans changed, and thoughtful in ensuring we had everything we needed. The farmhouse itself is even more amazing than the pictures do justice - lovingly restored with such artful and whimsical details - we had so much fun exploring! The King bed was super comfortable. We had a bit of a tricky time figuring out consistent water temperature for the shower, but with such spectacular claw foot tubs, who needs showers anyway?? 😆 We appreciated the rustic charm of it all. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and private, with gorgeous views. The fire pit is awesome, we roasted hotdogs and watched the sunsets over the ridge. It rained a lot during our stay, but we still managed to spend a bunch of time in the hot tub, and even got to do a little bit of stargazing in between storms. We feel so grateful we were able to spend time together enjoying this little slice of Heaven! Definitely recommend, and hope to return. 🌻✨
