We had a great stay. The house is very nice, clean, well equipped and very well located for experiencing Joshua Tree National Park. James was always responsive to any questions. Definitely recommend.

Great spring break!

The Lucky Moon Retreat was a fantastic home base for a spring break getaway. The backyard is an amazing place - cool landscape, lots of seating options for sun or shade, and of course the hot tub for relaxing after a day of hiking the nearby parks.

James was a very responsive and helpful host. The house was as described, and in great condition. The kitchen was well stocked and a joy to cook in. The beds were all very comfy and the rooms spacious and beautifully designed. Very nice perk to have all sorts of toiletries provided. There was heavy rain when we arrived so the outdoor furniture took a day to dry out, but the hot tub was delightful regardless. Beware the sharp thorns underfoot (wear shoes) in the garden, but these are everywhere in Joshua Tree. There are miles and miles of hiking trails a short walk away with great views and good for our doggie. It was a great stay overall - we would definitely return.

Beautiful Home and Property

What a beautiful home! We loved all the personal touches, interesting artwork, comfy beds, extras like coffee and a phenomenal backyard with hot tub, hammocks, fire ring, sun deck, and outdoor seating. James was an amazing host and helped with a check in challenge. This is by far the nicest home we have ever stayed in. Top notch!

Nothing but high praises

Great communication from the beginning through the end. Very tidy, neat place with wonderful decor that my spouse left the stay feeling inspired. All amenities worked great! Stargazing in a hot tub, cooling down in the cowboy pool, and grilling up some delicious meals were our top backyard activities. And the property is not too far away from JTNP. You can bet that my spouse and I are already making tentative plans to come back and this time with some family.

Awesome Yucca Home

The house was perfect. Has everything we needed for our stay as well as great space. And the backyard… gorgeous. Even in a neighborhood setting, with the high fence it felt very secluded. At night it was beautifully lit. Was so relaxing for all of us. James was an excellent host. We’ve stayed in rentals in the area five times in the last two years and had we started here, we would have always come back.

Beautiful home and great host! A keeper!

My husband , our two adult children, and two small dogs stayed at James’s property. It was exactly as described and shown in photos. So comfortable, such a peaceful home and a great backyard to relax in. The home is in a quiet neighborhood very close to Joshua Tree National Park. The home has all the amenities we needed and more - loved that the host provided some toiletries. Such a nice touch! We barely cooked because the chef needed a vacation but the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. We loved the booklets with house rules- made it easy for us. And loved the booklet with suggestions. We tried Pie for the People (pizza) and it was delicious! Thank you, James, for your hospitality and your very quick response time when I had as question about my dogs. We all agree that this home is where we will stay next time we want to visit Joshua Tree.

We're originally from the East Coast but fell in love with Southern California, particularly the Joshua Tree area. The desert is a magical place, and we are thrilled to be able to share it with our guests.

Our newly redesigned private backyard oasis is equipped with a Jacuzzi hot tub, cowboy pool, hammocks, BBQ and outdoor fire pit.

All bedrooms are equipped with either a Queen or Cal King new memory foam mattress, large closet, reading nook and storage space for your luggage.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils, baking, cooking and cocktail tools you'll need to enjoy your stay, and our two living rooms have everything you'd want to rest and relax after a long day exploring the park and local towns.

Our two full bathrooms have plenty of towels and complimentary amenities for you to enjoy.
