My son and I enjoyed our vacation on cedar Creek lake. Despite a little bad weather we had a great time fishing and relaxing by the water and in the house.
We enjoyed our stay at the lake and spent a lot of time outside. We had fun watching the wildlife and taking in the view. The deck is shaded most of the day and very private.
Bring your lawn chair, grab a coffee, and relax!
Lovely lake cabin that has been renovated inside and out. Our favorite place was the deck where we could watch the herons and egrets in the water. The owner was very prompt in responding to any requests or comments. Nice weekend getaway.
An older property, in a quiet neighborhood on the lake; clean without toxic cleaning smell, super comfortable beds, bath/body amenities provided, alot of dry seasonings provided, several coffee choices and games for the family too. All you need is your clothes and food.

Thank you we enjoyed hosting your family please come again
We had a great time! Property was clean and the air conditioning and heat worked great. We had to use both because…Texas (: A short drive to Canton and then a day at the lake. We had a fire in the pit by the lake and enjoyed the water and water fowl. I would stay here again!
We had a wonderful time relaxing at this getaway by the lake. The private dock provided a perfect vantage point for observing the solar eclipse. My family took our meals on the deck several times and we enjoyed drinking our coffee on the covered front porch. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for a few days of rest. We will consider this rental if we are in the area again.
Overall I really enjoyed the stay. The property is in a great location if you like quiet, picturesque, relaxing days. Dock fished and caught over 10 catfish and a couple of bass from the pedal boat. The property itself was nice but could stand some updates to the cabinets and a better charcoal grill. Would definitely do it over again.

A new Charcoal has been added. We also have an estimator that is starting to remodel the kitchen. Thank you for the feedback.
Stayed for 2 weeks. Very nice. Newly opened. Parking is tight. The walk down to the house is a bit difficult for older folks. The house has all ya need. The back deck is a beautiful place. Lots of birds and turtles.
The owners had everything setup perfectly. They have a bulletin board of food, sunset cruises, instructions. All of it. Such an easy and relaxing process. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you for opening your lake house up for the public. Absolutely amazing.
This place was perfect for a getaway with our young adult kids. The porch and living room view is amazing. We spent hours just looking at birds and the lake. We also made good use of the ping pong table and TV for late night movies. The kitchen table was a perfect size for board games and puzzles we brought. We also fed the 2 ducks who hang around the dock; fresh water mussel shells were also a fun discovery. Many wonderful memories made. Thank you!
Had a nice stay. Host was very accommodating as we needed a pet friendly option. House is a small, older property that could use some updating but overall a clean comfortable place. The front yard & back deck is fenced & safe for pups. Back deck view was beautiful. Caught several channel cats off the dock. Parking is extremely tight if you have a bigger vehicle & the front rock walkway is a bit treacherous. Decent proximity to Canton. Check in/out instructions were clear & easy.
Enjoyed the stay didnt catch any fish my expectations was to fish and the description said it is a prime fishing spot only thing i caught was turtles the paddle boat would have been nice but i guess the people there before us left it with urine in it disgusting..so we spent most of our time on the dock because inside the house wasn't comfortable to relax in and the home need alot of upgrading but the Ac worked great and the bed was very comfortable
We spent a lot of time on the back deck. It's large and relaxing. There is plenty of space in the cabin. Cozy master bedroom. Large bathroom, roomy living and eat in kitchen. There is a wine glass display that is very impressive!
There are a lot of stairs getting down to the dock. There is a very nice fire pit set up.
Our whole stay was over 100 degrees and the owner had provided an extra portable A/C unit in the living area.
This cabin is just as described. We had 3 adults and two teens, and there was plenty of room for all. The host is very responsive. The back deck is enormous, and we enjoyed the firepit nightly. The paddle boat was a nice touch as well. The area is tranquil with a nice view. It is highly recommended for a family getaway or for a couple. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable. The hot water was HOT too, very nice! During our stay, we had both hot and cold days, and the air and heat worked well. There's also a ping pong table to enjoy. Thank you again!

Beds are very comfortable.A/c was wonderful. Fire stick not the best. The mobile home had an odor.Shower step up is very dangerous, should have shower bars for safety. Needs lots of repairs. The water access was nice and so was the dock. But there was no ladder to get out of the water, no canoe or kayak as listed and the paddle boat was filthy. There was no hot tub, ping pong table or gas grill as listed either. The inside was clean and area was quiet. Location to jet ski rental was great. The outside furniture in front and back was very dirty and the back yard grounds were not kept up like photos. Checkin and out was very easy and host was responsive. Overall, we had a fun weekend but we were not at the house most of Saturday. I know we would have been more disappointed with amenities but present that we're listed as such, had we but made lake plans.

Do your homework
Weeds were waist high in front yard. Trailer parking not great. Local boat ramp damaged/closed. TV remote did not work
Trailer was fairly clean and well stocked
Owner tried to help with boat ramp access but ramp was unusable
Left after only one night !
Overall, not impressed.

The boat ramp just put a new lock on it and did not have the new key yet. Maybe the remote got unprogrammed and will leave instructions for the future. I was unaware of the weeds and will have the caretaker take care of them.
This place is so relaxing. We enjoyed fishing and caught several catfish. The paddle boat was a lot of fun and I think our Doxie loved it more than we did. The beds were very comfortable. We were, however, disappointed with a few things. Your listing needs to be updated. It states that you have a hot tub and we were looking forward to it. There was no gas grill, only an old rusty charcoal grill. You did have charcoal which was a plus, because we didn't bring any. The listing stated you have 2 double beds in room 2, that should be changed to bunk beds. Our daughter slept in that room and said it was extremely comfortable. Things that could be improved-perhaps a run through of the house a day or two before arrival. There were a lot of cobwebs and little spiders in the 2nd bedroom and in the bathroom. The bathtub was very buggy and dusty, just needed a rinse out. There were only 2 washcloths for 3 people for 3 nights. There is a broken fan in the 2nd bedroom that should be trashed. The sofa bed in the living room needs fixing. The head of it sags and is not usable.I only mention this so you can resolve the problem. You do have a very lovely place and we thank you for letting us stay there.
My stay was very pleasant. Communication was excellent. I would definitely stay again. Thank you

What makes this property unique
Prime Fishing at Cedar Creek Reservoir
Located in the best fishing spot on Cedar Creek Reservoir, this property offers unparalleled access to some of the finest fishing in the area. The reservoir is famous for its excellent black bass (largemouth and spotted) and crappie fishing, with catfish and bream also plentiful. Cedar Creek has earned a reputation for producing trophy bass, with fish over 5 pounds being common, and bass over 8 pounds caught each year. Anglers from across the region come to test their skills, and according to the 2006 Alabama B.A.I.T. Report, it takes an average of 95 tournament-angler hours to catch a bass over 5 pounds.
While the spotted bass population tends to be smaller, comprised mainly of fish under 14 inches, the largemouth bass are the real stars, with no size limit imposed on the black bass harvest. Crappie fishing is also top-tier, with most catches averaging 10 inches and some reaching up to 15 inches. A 9-inch minimum size limit on crappie adds to the excitement of reeling in these prized fish.
For anglers of all levels, this prime location on Cedar Creek offers an exceptional fishing experience, right from your doorstep. Whether you're after trophy bass or a plentiful catch of crappie, this is the ultimate fishing destination.
