About this property

Tiny Cottage in a 1700s Historic Quaker Farm in Virginia Wine Country-Farm Stay

Come and stay in our newly renovated cottage on a beautiful 25 acre farm from the 1700s. This one bedroom cottage is perfect for a peaceful night in. Featuring a king size bed, several kitchen amenities and cozy fire pit. Convenient to wineries, breweries and hiking trails and just ten minutes from the quaint town of Purcellville where you can find grocery stores and local restaurants. Also conveniently located to several wedding venues such as Sylvanside Farm which is just down the street and Shadow Creek. We have kune kune pigs and lots of chickens. You will hear pigs snorting, chickens singing and roosters crowing. :) The farm is a beautiful place to walk around! There is a well established apple orchard that is gorgeous in the spring, rolling hills and original buildings from 1760. There is a peaceful winding creek oasis behind the old red barn that is the perfect spot for a picnic or cup of coffee. The wifi speed (we are on comcast) is fast and great for a work from home retreat!

The cottage is lovely place to stay. About 15 minutes from groceries and restaurant if you need something. The hosts were very friendly and quick to respond to any concerns. The cottage was clean and beautiful with a very comfortable bed.

Peaceful and Convenient!
My wife and I enjoyed our short stay. Peter, one of the hosts, took some time to show us around his farm and chat about the history of the property for a bit. Convenience to the wedding venues just down the road was perfect. Would stay with Peter and Claudia again for sure.

Charming one room cottage in a picturesque country setting, perfect for visiting Middleburg and the surrounding villages. The owners thought of everything you could need, especially for your first night and morning. Nicely printed directions on using the appliances. I had not used a convection stove before. The cottage was nicely decorated, well supplied, and spotless. The AC was wonderful. Great internet connection. My morning coffee was spent watching the many pollinators enjoying fully blooming large butterfly bushes out of the cottage window. Lovely sunsets on the patio. The kunekune pigs were adorable. So enjoyed my stay and will be returning!

First generation homesteader/farmer and mother to two beautiful children. Love to travel, craft, read and learn new things. My goal is to become more self sufficient and to help teach others how they can as well.

Why they chose this property

This beautiful historic property has so much history to it! We are working hard to bring it back to life so that others can enjoy it too. Set in the countryside of Northern Virginia, this property is quiet and peaceful. The winding creek oasis on the stone house side is a wonderful place to read a book or have a picnic. The farm animals are fun to watch and listen too. A great place to unwind and enjoy country living at its finest.

What makes this property unique

The inside of the Perch is so cozy and chic! Just so perfect for a getaway for two.
