Escape to our charming cottage set on a hill with stunning views of our a quiet cove on Watts Bar Lake. It’s the best of small-town lake life with all the conveniences like WiFi and a town/grocery store is less than 10 mins away.
With touches of nature throughout the space, stay in our home comfortably with family and friends. The semi-open floor plan allows for everyone to spend time together in common areas while having the option to retreat to more privacy in one of the cozy bedrooms. But, you really visit to spend time outdoors, so grill on the expansive deck just off the kitchen (propane responsibility of the guest) with a cold/warm drink, pull up a chair at the outdoor dining table, on the dock or by the fire pit next to the lake to relax and enjoy your time here!
Have a boat? Dock it with us! But, we don’t have a boat ramp on the property and aren’t able to offer access to the lifts/power on the dock.
For families with small children: We know traveling with little ones requires a lot of stuff! We hope to help take a little of that burden off you by keeping a few supplies around the cottage. We have a baby gate for the stairs (though there is also a door at the top of the stairs), toys, books, games, infant play mat, changing pad and a few feeding basics like children’s table settings. All exterior doors except the front door are contained by the gated fence, limiting the number of openings with water access for littles.

Fantastic spot on the lake. Dock was beautiful and our boat fit perfectly. Michelle was very accommodating and her place suited our groups needs and then some! 10/10 book with her!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful with plenty of room. Very clean and very pretty. The layout was wonderful with a one year old with us. Beautiful views.
Roomy place to stay with several family members. Plenty of place to spread out with a huge basement. Beautiful deck to spend time on with fenced in yard for young children to play. Enjoyed the dock to fish from.
Had a wonderful time staying at waterfront cottage on Watts Bar Lake. The house was very clean lots of beds very nice paper products. We took our own boat very close to Spring City public dock. Also very close to downtown Spring City for groceries, restaurants and pharmacy. Check in was very easy any time I had a question the owner got right back to me. There were 7 of us and I love having 3 bathrooms. Plenty of parking for the cars and boat trailer. Hope to return next year!
This is a great property, our favorite part was the beautiful view from the deck. We enjoyed our stay. There were not floats, kayaks, but we did rent a boat for a day and dock it. Clean and spacious home!
Our only contact with the host was on-line. They seemed to be attentive to any questions or concerns we might’ve had. We had no big concerns , checkin/checkout process went well. Housekeeping prior to checkin could have been more thorough . For example, I cleaned the stagnant toilets before our kids arrived I think the property must’ve been vacant for a while. Coffee pot and grill were a mess, both fine after I cleaned both. Smoke alarm was chirping needed a fresh battery, we replaced that. Not a great setup for elderly family members getting in from the steep front walk was a challenge but we managed. The lakeside location is beautiful, more suited for those without handicaps.
Neighborhood was very nice and quiet. The front was a little steep but normal for lake front property. Lots of parking space for cars and boat trailers. Back deck was great overlooking lake, boat slip, and fire pit. We used the fire pit next to the shore every night. Looking forward to booking again next year with the whole family.
The property was excellent. The neighbor to the right of the property screamed at our son from a window, with foul language, telling him to cut the truck off when he was just trying to unhook a trailer. He closed the window and then was never seen again. This was uncalled for and we didn’t appreciate that but as far as the property, it was great. It just needs power for lights at the dock for night fishing.
Clean interior and recently remodeled. Exterior needs some work. No power to the boat dock. Limited exterior lighting. Beautiful lake views and quiet neighborhood.
Stayed for a week over Christmas. The house is at a great location, photos match the website. The house was clean and bigger inside than it looks. We had plenty of space, but not enough furniture for the family to eat or sit (6 adults). Negatives were the furniture was limited and not very comfortable. There were some details (towel racks, toilet paper holder, etc.) that need to be finished in the house, but overall it was nice.
There is no electricity to the dock. There are no paddle boards or kayaks. Although it states they are available. If you need electricity or lights to the dock you'll need to buy 200 feet worth of extension cords! Recommend by home owner! It looks like they have started some renovations (painting in livingroom) , probably should wait until off season for that. It was very clean. Great area. Great views.

We do not advertise that there is electricity to the dock. There is also no mention of kayaks and paddleboards in the listing either. As I informed you the pamphlet you found in the house was an old pamphlet that mentioned those.

Hi Michael! Very surprised to see you only left us 3 stars. As you can see all of our past guests LOVE the house and the charm it has. I wish you would have communicated with us if there were issues we can not fix what we don’t know about. The only communication we had was you asking for an early check in which we happily accommodated. Our cleaners did not notice anything out of the ordinary when preparing for your stay or after your checkout.

We love to slow down and make new memories at the lake! It's where we gather family and friends to connect by the water, unplug for a few, laugh together and spend time working remotely (you can't beat the conveniences of wifi and lake life combined!). Having grown up with families who taught us to find beauty in simple things, it's important to us that we share that love with our daughter and hope that we're able to share it with you too!
Why they chose this property
We chose this property for the view of the lake and it's easy access! Situated on a little hill on a quiet dead-end street, it overlooks the lake from every window on the lake side of the house. From the dock, toss a line in, snag the kayak or paddle board or floats to hop straight in the water just steps away from the backdoor. If your speed is a cold one seated - we've got chairs for you too!
After we spent time there, we realized there were so many other perks to its location! Less than 15 mins to Spring City, it's super easy to pop into town for all the basics - plus, two very well kept parks and a splash pad in the summer for family fun! It's within 20 mins to multiple marinas for lakeside dining and boat rentals. It's 25 mins to Rockwood and 30 to Dayton where you'll find Walmart for anything you need alongside more restaurants and stores. And if you're up for adventure, there are trailheads to the Cumberland Trail 15 mins away, amazing hiking to waterfalls nearby and it’s only an hour to Chattanooga and Knoxville. We never run out of things to do or places to explore!
