Perfect place to stay to enjoy the bay and the Cape
This is our 3rd time staying here. Best of both worlds with the beach across the street, always friendly neighbors and the large yard and bay in your backyard. Extremely clean and very well stocked. We will be back!

We are thrilled Scallop Pass was perfect for your family's beach getaway. It was a pleasure having you as our guest, and we hope to see you on the Forgotten Coast again soon!
Stay was fun, house was nice, clean, great location. The only thing that would have made it a 5 is a boardwalk to the beach. Most of the other houses next door had one. The pulling of beach carts on sand was a haul!

This was our second year in a row staying at this property for our family vacation. When I asked the kids where they would like to go, they said "Same place as last year!" The property has plenty of room for everyone. The location is wonderful and we love that it is right on the beach. Nice clean property with plenty of linens for our family of 6. Will probably book this again for next year!

Hello! We are thrilled Scallop Pass is a fabulous fit for your family and appreciate you sharing your experience. Welcoming you to the Forgotten Coast is always a pleasure; thank you for being our guests!
Beautifully decorated home. The master room bed was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. The house has four levels but there is an elevator that came in very handy for groceries and luggage.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was better than described. It was right on the sand with just a very short walk to the water with beautiful views throughout the home. Our only negative was that the property grounds aren’t well kept. There was A LOT of trash on the lot and a long the driveway. Overall great trip!

Great house
Extremely comfortable house. Everything is clean and the house has all your needs.
The area is still recovering but Port St Joe is less than 10 min away with a very complete supermarket.
We were able to go horseback riding at the beach, s’mores one night and play at the beach with our dog.
I would definitely recommend this place even for groups of friends or multiple families.

Thanks for your review, Mark. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at Scallop Cove #1, and it would be our pleasure to host your next visit to North Cape San Blas in the future!
We loved the view and beaches. The elevator didn’t work which was a really big bummer because there are 3 flights of stairs to carry luggage up and down, and just daily a lot of stairs, but they did send a maintenance guy out to attempt to repair. There are some locks missing on some of the sliding doors.

House was just as expected. Clean and kitchen well equipped. Two maintenance issues which were taken care of quickly. We were pleased with our stay. Short walk to beach which was not at all crowded. Very nice house. Check in was very convenient. Only downside was biting flies and lots if mosquitos. Be prepared.

We're so pleased that you had a wonderful stay with us at Scallop Pass--despite the pesky mosquitoes--and that you found the home ideally located to the beach and well-equipped. It would be our great pleasure to host your next visit again in the future!
After Hurricane Michael, some renovations were made to the house, but everything was as promised and absolutely beautiful. It's a short walk to the beach which is not crowded at all. The only thing we didn't like about the beach is the amount of golf carts and trucks driving on the sand - sometimes in between our tent and the water.
The house is perfect for a big family or group of friends. We had kids with us, and it's a great set-up for them.

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Scallop Pass and that you found the home's post Hurricane Michael renovations nicely done. We look forward to having you back again soon!
Very nice house with exceptions - Lots of trash across driveway in brush you could see from rear windows of housePart of one toilet paper holder was on the floor - my husband fixed with his own toolsOne towel ring was not hung - my husband fixed with his own tools2nd floor balcony door lock broken - management company repaired.dried sheetrock mud on 2nd floor bedroom by sliding balcony doorStove so old the settings for the stove temp control knobs were goneOne bathroom had an exposed electrical outlet with no cover plate It was embarrassing for our invited guests to see all the trash lying around and other items that were not fixed before we arrived. This is a nice house with good location. Management company needs to do better job of checking the house before guests arrive. The trash was a big thing for me.

Spring Break at Scallop Pass
Fantastic recovery from the hurricane! We stayed in same unit two years ago and noted only a few minor things missing, i.e., ground level shower, fish cleaning station, and a couple of other minor things. We did call local managers for elevator assist, and some extra bed linen which they promptly supplied--THANKS. I am also thankful my boat survived the hurricane--it was in the Port St Joe Barn. Fishing was good--the family (three generations) had a great time! Joe Mc

Thank you for your kind review. We are thrilled that you returned to Scallop Pass after the hurricane with three generations of your family, and that your boat survived the storm. We are currently working on repairing the things you mentioned in your review and we look forward to welcoming you back again very soon!
The best part about this place is the private beach. The house was okay, several things were broken (the fridge shelving was missing, the icemaker, a railing, exterior door handle, the oven door didn't close all the way) The cleaning people were there 11 to 5, but there was still some areas not cleaned well (mold in the showers, hair in the bathroom drawer, fingerprints on the fridge)
The decor was nice, I would have liked to see more kitchen pots & pans /larger options to assist on cooking for large groups.
We had an amazing vacation here.

Thanks for your review, as well as your feedback. We're so pleased that you enjoyed the private beach and the home's decor. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the various things that you found in disrepair--which we have relayed to our maintenance team--as well as for the cleanliness issues, which we will address with our housekeeping manager. We would like the opportunity to provide you with an exceptional stay the next time you visit Cape San Blas.
We love Port St. Joe, and aim to stay there every year. The place was exceptional. Very clean, spacious, and easy. We went straight to it with our own access code. The check-out list was the shortest I’ve ever experienced. Many places charge a huge cleaning fee then instruct you to clean before you leave, but not here. Very stress-free… including someone who picked up the trash from outside of the house. The only thing tI would say to improve upon was a few very loose banisters on the deck made a bit of an issue for young children. That being said, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us!
