This place was great we stayed for the 4th and was great for viewing the fireworks, small stroll to the beach and the house was clean and had everything you might need. The other homes are right on top of you the pictures shown are not correct they should be updated. If your neighbors are responsible party then you won’t mind being so close. We are considering booking once again.
Excellent service. Clean. New. Right on the beach! Close to town. Had everything we needed. Construction going on in neighborhood but not too disturbing. Thanks!
The house was amazing! As described in the pictures posted but seeing it in person was everything! Outside pictures do need to be updated. There are additional houses that have been built very close to this house.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location was amazing, the house was amazing, and the beds were like sleeping on clouds.
A few suggestions for the house, kitchen wise would-be potholders we baked a lot but there were no potholders to get items out of the oven. More storage containers, we had a hard time storing our leftovers. Kitchen utensils were not of good sturdy quality, I would love to see those replaced.
I only mention these things because we will stay here again and again year after year as long as we can find it available. We love the Cape and so glad we have found a location that we will enjoy years to come.
Thank you SO much for sharing your home with us.
My daughter and I enjoyed our week at The San Box. The house itself and location were perfect and as described. Until the house next door is completed, you will have a driveway and parking all to yourself, which was nice. The house was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The private walkway to the beach is a big plus. However, there is a busy walkway for several houses on the other side, so families are walking by a good bit. We bought a little charcoal grill because the one there was very grimy and had not been cleaned in a long time. There is only one broom and dustpan for day-to-day tidying up, so it would be a great addition to have a vacuum and mop/bucket. A few notables: the picture of the house is outdated. There is a house on either side, which is extremely close. They are so close you will hear normal conversations of your neighbors. Also, from the decks above, you look directly down into the neighbor's pools and shower. They have landscaped the house and pool with pine straw. With each day's breeze or storm, the pool stays full of straw and trash, so be prepared to scoop a lot. Lastly, there is a very foul smell coming from the sink disposal. With a bit of updating of their listing and a few other additions/changes, it would be a perfect stay and listing.
The house itself is as nice as shown, but the pictures make it seem like it’s sitting away from other houses and it’s not. You can almost reach out and touch the houses on both sides. Pics need to be updated. We stayed a week there and the entire time there was construction going on directly beside the house on both sides. We were told that construction was “in the vicinity” but that’s rather misleading. I reached out to the agency and they agreed and did refund me a small portion of my payment. We weren’t able to use the pool between the noise and construction workers everywhere. Granted the workers were very respectful, but who wants to swim with all of them out there overlooking the pool every day. Const. began by 7am each day and ended by 6:00-8:00pm each night. VERY LOUD. Video to prove. The “ocean” is the bay. Very little if any breeze and there’s more waves in a lake than there. The water is very shallow, dark and dirty. It has a Cape San Blas address but it’s more like Port St Joe. You can drive 10-15 minutes up the road and be in Cape San Blas’ pretty, blue, clear water. Restaurants are few and far between, expensive, and not very good. A lot of restaurants close by 5:00pm each day. Luckily we brought food to cook. Closest grocery store is 30 minutes. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook meals. 3 days worth of towels for the 4 of us, but either bring extras or wash. If you are looking for quiet, semi private beach houses, I’d look elsewhere.
