Our fabulous ground floor condo in Banana Building provides guests truly unobstructed views plus the luxury of a large grassy yard surrounded by lush tropical foliage for extra privacy. When gazing out at shimmering Hanalei Bay from our comfy living room you won't have to gaze through bannisters but rather you will have a truly unobstructed view that allows you to sit inside the condo and be mesmerized by the beauty of Kauai. Plus there are no stairs to climb, and the kids can play directly in front of the condo on the large grassy yard. As an added convenience our condo is situated close to the small swimming pool and BBQ's.

Every year we update our Hawaiian home so it will be pleasing to our long list of repeat clients (Ohana - extended family). Our eclectic furnishings embrace the essence of Hawaii, from our custom hand painted tile (created by a local artisan)to our newly remodeled Plantation style bathrooms. It has been my goal to create an ambiance that is comfortable, inviting and exudes island charm and character.

The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining allowing guests to meander from the interior of the condo, past the lanai onto the large grassy yard. We have spent many sunsets from this vantage point hoping to glimpse the 'green flash.'

Our condo has an inviting well stocked kitchen that will make cooking a snap. Our living room has a large flat screen TV, stereo with CD player, VCR/DVD player, plus a well stocked video library of DVD's and VHS tapes. For those looking to get caught up on reading we have a large book lending library plus board games. However, you will be hard pressed to take your gaze of the shimmering of Hanalei Bay below.

This sought after condo's bedroom (7106) has a large private lanai, en-suite bathroom, cable TV and IPOD docking station. During most months, except summer, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the peaceful waves lapping at the beach below...

We cordially invite you to be part of our Ohana and come spend your well deserved vacation on the magnificent north shore of Kauai. Our island home is Nonsmoking, and there is a three night minimum.

All reservations are subject to a 17.96% Hawaii Hotel tax and a cleaning fee based on the size of the unit. The owner will not be held liable for any items left in the condo during the Guests occupancy and/or after the Guests departure. Please be sure to keep valuables with you at all times. (Safety box is available at the front desk). Excessive cleaning beyond the normal wear and tear will be charged accordingly to the Guest. Hanalei Bay Resort charges a $45 daily resort fee and one time check in fee of $50

Incredibly beautiful place

PIctures and narrative description all are very accurate. Liked everything about the place. We had one rainy day out of a week but it was still wonderful sitting on the lanai and enjoying the tropical rain. Short ride down to Hanalei town and the famous beach there. Easy access to other places on the North Shore. My only caution - be aware a there are resort fees, parking fees and a "check-in" fee. The owner might want to disclose these more visibly. It does cost more to stay here than first appears. Otherwise, a terrific place.

Gorgeous views in peaceful setting

What we loved: The condo was nicely decorated, comfy, clean and well equipped - we loved our stay here and the host was very responsive. The resort and views are gorgeous! Here’s what I wish I knew before (hoping this helps others): Be prepared for limited wknd parking and a long, steep walk from the condo. We were able bodied but someone elderly, with a disability, or littles may need to call the desk for rides. Don’t be surprised if you see significant rain and rough surf (risky swimming) on the north side (but everyone was right - it’s usually sunny somewhere else on the island. Use that time to just relax or plan on driving to so many things l on the east and south sides. Don’t plan on sleeping in much!! The roosters crow outside your door at 6:30am and all day long most days but thankfully we were on east coast time and early birds. By the time we felt like sleeping in, we got used to them!! And finally the resort fees (sigh)…even if you’ve fully paid the host…you still have to pay resort fees and parking fees plus a hefty 18% state tax at checkin. For our two week stay it came to 800. The host has updated the listing to reflect the current fees. All in all we loved our stay here and hope to come back soon! Kaua’i is a magical place that steals your heart and those mornings and sunsets with that view are priceless!!! Mahalo for welcoming us to your beautiful home!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location and views are 10/10! The condo is comfortable and as described in the pictures. Check in and check out was easy. We would recommend staying here on your next visit to Kauai’s north shore.

Amazing stay!

We celebrated our 30th anniversary here! Absolutely gorgeous view. The condo was beautifully equipped and the resort was really nice. We loved the private beach, the grounds, and the restaurant had yummy cocktails and live music! We will definitely be back!

We've stayed at HBR a few times and are always thrilled to be back!

The unit is very nice and super clean!! Couldn't ask for better views! Slept like a baby, great bed and sheets, which you need when coming to Kauai to rest up for the next days advetures!!

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful condo for two

The view off the back patio was amazing!! Great location in Hanalei Bay Resort. Only about a 20 minute drive to the quaint town of Hana which we absolutely loved. The resort restaurant/bar was terrific with amazing views. We had a couple days of very rainy weather so we’re unable to enjoy the beach but felt very comfortable in our cozy condo with phenomenal views of “Bali Hai”.

It is just what you would hope for

Besutiful property

It is hard to best Hanalei Bay and the Na Pali mountains as ypur patio viewscape. And the HB Resort has beautiful grounds, pool, tennis courts, etc. We werr sorry that the Happy Talk Lounge was only open one night of our stay, but had some fun dining in Hanalei. Wish there was mpre lighting available in the living room and bedtoom, but we mansged. Great zone air conaitioning and ceiling fans kept us very cool.,even with our afternoon sun exposure. And the owner/manager Joyce was great!

A beautiful getaway on breathtaking Hanalei Bay

My husband and I decided to stay at the HBR because we we got married during our stay on the bay beach. I must say this is one of the most beautiful condos I have ever stayed in! The view is jaw dropping and the unit itself is very tastefully decorated and clean. Joyce was very easy to get in touch with and she left many helpful tips for navigating the area and finding fun things to do. The resort staff was extremely helpful and made sure our wedding experience was unforgettable. The HBR grounds are impeccably kept, its like heaven on earth! We will certainly be staying here again, and hoping to stay in this exact unit due to its unmatched beauty and charm.

Just lovely!

Picture postcard perfect setting - right on Hanalei bay and we could walk to the beach, swim, snorkel and use paddle boards - it was my first time and was not difficult since the water was perfectly calm. Our accommodations were quite comfortable and the condo was spotless! We enjoyed a cocktail every evening on our lanai watching the sun set into the ocean. There is a bit of walking to and from the condo but that didn't bother us because the situation of the condo was private. Would gladly return...

Wonderful Family vacay

My family and I were so looking forward to a Hawaiian vacation that would be fun for all ages, be exactly what we thought Hawaii should be and Kauai did not disappoint. The beaches go for miles and there was a lot to do for our kids from ages 4 - 12. Hanalei Bay Resort even has an activity desk and water sports desk where you can rent all kinds of equipment. We rented stand up paddle boards and walked down to the beach and got them from the kiosk right there - super easy! Our accommodations were very comfortable and clean! The owner said she had updated a lot of items and for us everything was just wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better time!

Outstanding views and great amenities!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! The view from the lanai is not to be missed and is reason enough to choose this unit. Great location in the Hanalei Bay Resort with easy access to amenities including the pools and Happy Talk Lounge. We didn’t get to the beach (rainy season) but that’s apparently easy too. Condo has A/C in the main room and fans to keep cool enough to sleep. Queen bed is on the older side but there are ample couch cushions you can set up on the living room floor if you need something firmer to sleep on. There are books and movies in the unit to enjoy, and the in-unit laundry is awesome.

Lovely view from the patio and private, too.

We loved the patio, the privacy from the patio and the view. While the unit was very clean when we arrived, we found it in need of some updating. Kitchen was big and well stocked, with a washer / dryer handy. Bed was soft. If walking is difficult for you, know that you have to walk to and from the parking area and all activities. There are inclines. Check in was easy and the staff we encountered during our stay were kind and helpful. Tennis a big plus. Nice courts.

honeymoon suite!

This Hanalei Bay condo was perfect for our honeymoon in Kauai! It is located in a super nice condo/resort property that really takes good care of you during your stay. The condo itself is really well stocked with everything you need for vacation, even down to a washer/dryer. Air conditioning is fantastic, we slept great every night. There's also a really nice lanai we ate breakfast on every day and a great pool on premesis. The parking lot is quite a ways away, but there are lovely staff members that will drive you to your car in a golf cart. There is a restaurant on the property that usually has live music and always has good food. The condo is pretty close to Hanalei town, which is super quaint and charming. You definitely need to drive, but it's only 10 minutes away. We loved our time at Hanalei Bay! Mahalo!

Great Condo but construction on surrounding condos ongoing until December.

This condo is beautiful. Great location and views. Very clean and comfortable. Washer and dryer are a big plus. Very convenient. Small pool and barbecue area right off patio. Only drawback is the condos surrounding are all in a major re-hab. Loud construction and workers are present on weekdays. Trucks are blocking walkways. This wasn't a big issue for us but could be for other people. We would definitely rent this condo again, once construction is complete. Also, the restaurant should be finished in December as well.

Why they chose this property

Hawaii's culture and people have always fascinated me. Living in California it is an easy flight, weather is always perfect. Hawaii's beauty is intoxicating, the sights, smells, the warm tropical breezes all blend in perfect harmony with Hawaii's unique flora and fauna to create a destination many dream of visiting one day. I have been incredibly blessed to be able to call Hawaii home for more than 15 years now!

What makes this property unique

I have a six page list of activities, restaurants, beaches etc I send all my guests. To be honest I have done most everything on the island, but my greatest joy is walking from Haena State Park to Ke'e Beach - it is a 1 1/2 hour walk that you must do in the early morning. You will see perhaps just a couple people along the way. But when I have taken this walk I have swam with turtles, monk seals, seen pods of spinner dolphins and actually almost walked into a monk seal! This is Hawaii at its finest - access is easy, it is not strenuous, you can swim along the way and the view of the Na Pali Coast is breathtaking. Just view my photo of Ke'e beach, which I took on one of my many walks. So in Kauai I would say the best things are free of charge!
