Charming Renovated Cabin with a Cottage vibe. Thus "The Cabbage"

This 2 bedroom 1 bath offers a peaceful retreat from the hurried life. The cabin is located across the street from Gray Lake , with lake views. A small public beach access is down the road. The Cabbage is Near Pere Marquette paved Rails to Trails, Lakeside Bar and Grill , and a historic General Store. There is also a coffee shop open in the summer season. The yard has a rustic firepit. There are 2 kayaks. There are two T.V.s - one in the twin room and one in the living room. There is Wi-FI. Rocko Tv and a DVD player with numerous videos. There are also games and cards for that rainy Day. Of which you'll love the sound of the rain on the metal roof. This Cabin was just renovated and June 1 2022 is its first debut. Bath towels and Bed Linens provided. For cooking there is a Microwave, hot plate, and a toaster oven. A grill , Keurig coffee pot also.

Very clean & well stocked with the amenities as listed. Clarified coffee pot with Jeri Jo great communication as i had acouple of questions Peaceful & good home base for leaf peeping &Shopping. The cabin was comfortable & perfect for 2. Fireplace kept us warm & added to the vibe. Used the firepit nice extras for outside enjoyment Great time. Stumbled on a Cust Appreciate day at a local farm won a Mum!

Beautifully peaceful

This adorable cabin is in a lovely location. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, playing music by the picnic table, and enjoying the tranquility. Everything we needed was included!

The Cabbage was the perfect get away! So cute and cozy! My daughter and I shared the bedroom with twin beds and watched movies at night. We took a walk, drove into Lake for dinner & ice cream. Highly recommend if you are looking to go someplace quiet to relax!

Great Spot

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Cabbage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was just as described—clean, comfortable, and inviting. The location couldn’t be better! Not far from the stunning Sleeping Bear Dunes and the charming Fishtown, we found ourselves perfectly positioned to explore the beauty of the area. Our visit on July 11th, 2025, was quite warm, so we were especially grateful to step into a cool, air-conditioned haven upon our arrival. It was the perfect respite from the summer heat! Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming place to unwind, we highly recommend The Cabbage. You won't be disappointed! Can't wait to come back! 🌼

My name is Jeri Jo and I am soon to be retired after 27 years in the Real Estate industry.
I am married to Jim Meyer & we have 4 grown children and 7 Grandchildren. We live with our pup, Aspen an English Golden Retriever.

Why they chose this property

The area the Cabbage sits is very quiet. Many neighbors are year rounders. The location is convenient to Clare's Antique shops ( closed on Mondays) About 20 Minutes north you can rent kayaks and canoes on the Muskegon River. The Pere Marquette Rail trail is near , and great for biking in the spring, summer, and fall, or snowmobiling in the Winter. There is lots of hunting land in the surrounding area. While the Cabin was meant to be seasonal the gas fireplace keeps it nice and warm in the winter.
