This property is not as listed. Apartment smells like car garage cleaning solvents, electrical covers missing on switches and outlets, and exposed electrical wires. There was one smell wet towel hanging on shower rod for the two of us. Hand towel was obviously used. Personal hygiene products left on sink. Sheets are bed are dirty and possibly stained. Multiple vehicles in repair in driveway. No one at the residence at check in to resolve issues. Owner was responsive up until I started asking for clean towels and sheets. Sent messsge and no response until the next day. We stayed at hotel due the lack of cleanliness and safety issues. When I returned almost three hours later, I gathered our belongs since the owner never responded. I spoke with the son, Johnny. He acknowledged that he tried to clean the place on his lunch break. He acknowledged that he did not have a lot of time and did the best he could. Owner responded the next day, with sheets are stained but clean, the towel was washed and hung out to dry and they leave other prior guests hygiene products for the next guest to use. I called VRBO Care. I just had a simple ask, refund my funds. We spoke for 57 minutes to any employee and the supervisor. I sent the video and pictures. I was told that they reached out to the owner multiple times but no answer. I paid VRBO but the owner has to approve the refund. VRBO kept saying, we need to place you on hold to investigate.
