Nice location but not worth the money
The house appears as advertised but it does not have air conditioning. Even though we visited at the end of December, we were still hot inside the house numerous days. The master bedroom and bathroom upstairs got quite hot and uncomfortable. The house shows its age and needs a thorough cleaning as well. The location is good for the North Shore but just remember that the restaurants/food trucks close by 8pm. Overall the quality of the house wasn't what I expected for what we paid.

Wow! Paradise on earth.
From our first moments we where blown away by this beautiful property. The crashing of the waves was the best way to begin and end every day. The location was perfect and close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, stores, restaurants and beaches. Dave was extremely helpful and prompt with his communication and recommendations. He told us about some killer spots to eat, relax and swim on the North Shore that we enjoyed very much. This is a fabulous place to stay and we are already planning our next stay!!

Fantastic Oahu location and home!!
We loved our stay here! It’s so fun to be RIGHT ON the beach, with all the gorgeous views and perfect breeze easy water access. The location couldn’t have been better. So many great things to do within a short distance. The owners were awesome - very responsive and accommodating. You can tell they’ve done a lot to make this place perfect. All the little things are in place that you might not have even thought of! We saw all kinds of sealife right off the shore in front of the house, including a little octupus! You’ve got to be a responsible parent of course, especially if you have younger children, with the waves and tide. But that’s true all the time anywhere. We’re definitely coming back and staying here again. The price is reasonable, the home is adorable, and location is dreamy.

Family Vacation rental - 4 adults, 2 children
This house worked great for us with 3 bedrooms. 2 adults in each of 2 bedrooms and the kids in the room with 2 twin beds. The property was not exactly as it appeared on the listing. We were expecting a beach for the kids to play on as shown in the listing. Most of the time the tide was too high and only gave a small beach for one or two days. The waves breaking on the rocks made it too dangerous for the kids to play down there. We did find other north shore beaches to go to and relax. The Polynesian Cultural Center is only a few miles up the road. It was very Hot and Humid during our stay in July but the breeze off the water helped when we opened windows and let it blow through the house. There were no curtins or blinds in the upstairs bedroom so the morning sun made it bright early and started warming it up fast. Having a kitchen was great. However the refrigerator kept freesing things even after we tried to turn it down. Used the ice trays in the freezer, but would have been nice if the ice maker in the Frig had been working. There were only 2 extra rolls of toilet paper and that ran out fast with 6 of us. We bought more and left what we didn't use. We should have checked the cupbords before we went to the store because some things we bought were already there. (boxed or canned food and spices, ice chest etc.) We found the ice chest , beach chairs and boogie boards in the shed outside. We might have tried the Kyak if the surf in front of the house had been calmer. We were gald we had Mask, snorkel and fins available for use. All in all we had a great Stay and enjoyed all the activites around the north shore. It was a 45 min drive to go into Honolulu but we only did that one day for our tour to the Arizona Memorial. Hope this information is helpful for future rentals.

MAGICAL! Best ever stay on Oahu’s north shore!
This house couldn’t have been more perfect for my small family and the grandparents! Fantastic snorkeling right in the backyard- saw octopus, fish and so many turtles! Just 5 minutes to the Polynesian cultural center. Literally felt like we were on the water in the home as it’s right on the beach! Awesome food trucks within walking distance. The owner made check in super convenient and easy and the home was stocked with everything to make the stay so comfortable. This is a hidden gem for sure and I can’t wait to return next year! My new favorite place on Oahu’s North Shore!

My wife and I try to spend as much time as we can here. This is a newer purchase for us this last year and like to share the experience when we are not here.

Why they chose this property

Punaluu is amazing. You probably have never heard of this town but its a wonderful spot of the island with a lot of history. Just down the Street eat at Kaya's kitchen and several food trucks or go to Chings for Poke or Soft Serve. True Aloha Country,

What makes this property unique

You cant get any closer to the water. No need for a TV the ocean is your Theatre.
