Great escape for a long weekend! Secluded without being too far from some great attractions! Loved Eureka Springs downtown and all their eclectic shops and great architecture. Fun sister getaway trip!

Thank you for staying at Hoot Owl Cabin. We would love to host you again.
Very secluded and quiet location however relatively close to the highway which you cannot see but you can hear the traffic… especially if there’s a motorcycle convention going on in the nearby town. Would definitely recommend and will rebook this cabin!

Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful, secluded setting while still being just a short drive from everything Eureka Springs has to offer. On occasion, depending on local events or the time of year, you may hear some highway or motorcycle traffic in the distance, but we’re happy to hear it didn’t take away from your stay. We truly appreciate your recommendation and can’t wait to welcome you back to Hoot Owl Cabin!
A great little place. We stayed for two rainy days and were still able to enjoy the rain in the chairs under the well house roof near the fire pit. Cabin was cool, clean and comfy. Property is about a 10 min drive from Eureka Springs, but just a short drive from the highway, so there’s a little highway noise. A road to other cabins runs very close to the cabin, on the other side of a strip of trees, so it’s not really isolated and by no means busy. The rain on the cabin’s metal roof was relaxing…but the walnuts falling on that same metal roof can be startling until you figure out what the banging on the roof is. All in all, there are endless options for cabins around eureka springs and this was better than most we saw.

Those darn walnuts…… they get me every time we are there. We are glad you had a great stay and got to experience the rain in the cabin. Something about the trees and metal roof make it special. Thank you for being great guests!
Very nice stay and when we had a minor issue with the water temperature and messaged the host they immediately got back to us and the issue was resolved within minutes. Highly recommended!

Thank your for reaching out about the hot water issue. We are glad it was resolved so fast. Thank you for being great guests.
This is the perfect cozy retreat just minutes from downtown Eureka Springs and surrounding attractions. The serene setting is the ideal spot to refresh and unwind after the hustle and bustle of the city or a long day of hiking and nature exploration. The cabin is fully stocked with the comforts of home (cookware, dishes, linens). If you happen to find yourself in need of something (say extra washcloths), the host is quick to respond to your request. The check-in/check-out process was super simple. We highly recommend The Hoot Owl cabin for your next getaway!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was wonderful and seeing wildlife in the morning was great! It was close enough to Eureka Springs to be convenient but far enough for the privacy we wanted.

Thank you for staying at Hoot Owl Cabin. The nature and animals are always a blessing to experience. Hopefully you were able to hear the Hoot Owls at night.
Our stay at Hoot Owl Cabin was very peaceful and quiet. We were only 15 to 20 minutes away from the busy downtown area, which was why we had such peacefulness. The cabin itself was well kept and very comfortable. This was an excellent trip to Eureka Springs to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!! Thank you to the owners of this cabin for opening up your property to all of us who choose to visit this area.
The cabin is cozy and tucked out of the way, so you are able to find peace and quiet. Although our weekend hiking plans came with rainy weather, we still had a great time. The cabin is warm and inviting. The fireplace, furniture and wood walls create a relaxing environment. The kitchen is well-equipped and the outdoor grill and fire pit are perfect for just relaxing and spending time with family or friends.
One of the nicest cabins I've stayed in nice location. Very clean and the owners are very polite

About the host
Hosted by Matt or Dianne Glenn
Matt and Dianne live in Texas however Dianne grew up Arkansas. We spend our days with our kids' activities, with football and horseback riding, our chickens and dogs.
Why they chose this property
Dianne grew up in Northeast Arkansas and spent much of her childhood traveling all over the state. Knowing the beauty that NWA offers it was a no brainer to purchase Hoot Owl Cabin and share the experience with others. Living in a city, we thrive on getting away from city life to make time to relax and listen to nature that is offered at Hoot Owl Cabin.
What makes this property unique
Originally a paper tarp house built in the 1800s, Hoot Owl Cabin holds a rich and intriguing history. The Spaniards were known to hunt from the rafters of this cabin, and rumor has it that treasures are buried around the property.
In the late 1900s, the cabin was transformed into a functional and habitable home for a family to live in. Our street boasts only five homes, each nestled so uniquely that you have to look hard to see the neighbors.
The constant presence of wildlife 24/7 is a beautiful reminder of what this property and our earth have to offer. Being away from the busy traffic of downtown Eureka Springs is a constant reminder of why we love Hoot Owl Cabin. It's a perfect blend of history, nature, and serenity.
