Featherstone is located at 26 South Sundrops Trail Cullowhee, NC 28723 is an open-concept design featuring a great room which combines the kitchen, dining and living areas. This open space is perfect for hosting family time, especially with the inclusion of a beautiful stacked stone fireplace for gathering around. Enjoy mountain living at its best on the outdoor patio, which features another gas assist fireplace for entertaining alongside a partially fenced green space for privacy and relaxation. Featherstone is located in a privately gated community known as Sundrops on Caney Fork. The nano-resort offers a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, pedestrian friendly walking trails, and pocket parks for reading or resting. You can also try your luck trout fishing on the banks of Caney Fork river which runs along over 2,200 feet of the community. The Sundrops clubhouse offers an indoor lounge, fitness center, covered pavilion with large outdoor fireplace, rocking chairs. It even houses an outdoor kitchen complete with grills and smokers for cooking up your favorite meals. Be sure to relax in the chaise lounges alongside the resort style perimeter edge pool and spa or pack a picnic and enjoy tables and seating.

Birthday Trip

We were visiting for my oldest’s birthday and we also had a wedding to attend nearby. The stay was perfect! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and has a beautiful view of the mountains. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in town.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at Feathersone. The home was immaculate and well equipped. We had a fire every night on the patio and took in the area. I will most definitely return to this place and rent from Sundog in the future. They were very easy to work with and always only a phone call away!

My wife and I have stayed at several VRBO properties and this property was the most impressive place we have stayed. Everything was perfect for us a beautiful house with everything we needed, quiet at night for sleeping, within 15 minutes of Sylva, NC, a great view of the mountains , walking paths a creek for trout fishing beautiful flowers everywhere and the sound of the many birds singing. It was great.and we look forward to staying here again soon.

The townhouse was perfect for 4 adults. We had 2 friends visit and there was ample space plus the kitchen, dining area and den were all open so you can visit / watch TV while cooking, eating, etc. The place was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. The location was great for WCU and the community is precious. We arrived late and there are limited lights. We followed the directions and it was no problem. So many great things about this place and the community.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful week long stay in this beautiful home. This home is very clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay again. It is in a great location and we enjoyed walking the trail located on the property. The neighborhood is very friendly and our dog was also very comfortable here. It definitely gets a five star rating.

Wonderful property terrible sleep

The house was amazing. However the beds and pillows were awful. The beds were either very cheap, worn out or both. The pillows were actually worse than the mattresses. The flattered worn ouy pillows should be dicarded. Any run of the mill 2 star hotel has much better bed mattress and pillows. The poor sleeping experience was very out of line with the exceptional house. Disappointing based on the cost of $900 for two sleepless nights.

Another Excellent Stay

Featherstone is one of our favorite rentals in the Sundrops on Caney Fork community. The house is welcoming with a full stocked kitchen, comfortable den area, and elegant decor. We have rented Featherstone numerous times and will continue to do so. We highly recommend it!

We loved everything about our stay! The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, the shower spacious and with great water pressure and the entire place was very clean. The pool and hot tub were also wonderful. We were visiting our daughter at WCU and it was a perfect location. We will be back!
