The house is a perfect place for our family to come and we had a great time there. We love the Grand Rapids so much history and wonderful places to eat.
Check in was easy. Place was clean n how it was online. Nice place. Got it for this weekend of my wedding. Nice, peaceful, n relaxing. There was a sign that said welcome enjoy your stay stay..ineeneed another place to stay
This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting family in the area. The lake view is beautiful and as many other reviews have noted the house is well stocked with anything we could need. We had some trouble navigating information on the VRBO app a couple of times and the host was responsive and helpful whenever we needed anything. The lake access is great for using the kayaks and canoe available with the property. Swimming from the property isn’t possible due to the lily pads. The AC is window units but they kept up fairly well even though we were there during the hot week of the 4th of July.
Convenient and accessible for limited mobility use of walker with our Mother. One level and wall of windows overlooking lake and also windows looking onto the deck perfect. Few steps into house were manageable.
What a lovely visit we had! A beautiful house with all the fixings needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed 2 nights with 6 kids (toddler through teen) and had everything we needed. Kids had space to move around and a nice amount of backyard to play in. We even took a walk to the local ice cream place about half a mile away. Lots of things nearby, we highly highly recommend!
Our stay was perfect. The amenities are all recently redone and beautiful. Open concept living area, great for hanging out. Tons of games available for use. There is a dock available which allowed us to bring our pontoon. Great location for easy drive to Grand Rapids Owners have been flexible and easy to communicate with.

Thank you, Jill. We're happy our place suits your needs!
My friends and I booked this cabin for a weekend away from the city to relax and enjoy nature, and this listing provided exactly that. We got to kayak on the lake (with kayaks provided by the host), have a bonfire every night (with firewood provided), and finally see the stars again. The host provided a ton of products like OTCs, bathroom essentials, first aid kit, etc. that were so helpful and kind. The pictures of the listing were accurate, and the host was extremely communicative! I would book again. (One thing to note: the bug deterrent plugins made a high frequency buzz that was quite annoying. Took us till the last night to find the culprit )
The property is a lake house with a gorgeous view and beautiful wildflowers. While it seems remote, it is actually only 10-15 minutes from downtown - so it was a very peaceful respite from our busy days. The house was super clean and well-equipped for our needs. The host left ample toilet paper and paper towels. There were even bag clips for our snacks! The host was easy to contact and very responsive. We appreciated her hospitality SO much and look forward to renting from her again.

Thank you for your kind words! We aim to please and welcome any and all feedback.
We had a very pleasant stay. It was cozy and comfortable. It was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped and the essentials were supplied. It had a beautiful lake front view and very nice yard. We had kayaks and a canoe available to use and there was a family of swans that were beautiful to watch. I would like to note that there are lily pads/weeds that go about thirty feet out from shore, so it’s not very swimmable from shore. This didn’t affect us because we were swimming elsewhere or figured we would swim off a boat, but just something to note. The lake was beautiful and the area was lovely. This is also a great location. It was a quick twenty minutes to downtown to the conference that was the reason we were visiting. It had quick, easy access to everywhere while still feeling like we were out in the quiet country instead of the city. The owner was quick to respond, accommodating, and great to work with. We would definitely stay here again!
This was a great location for our family to hang out during a celebration of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. They live in GR but didn't have room to host everyone overnight so we used this space to gather as a group during the day and for some of the family to stay overnight. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of linens, pillows, soap, shampoo and puzzles. It was a great spot with a nice big living area but the max I would recommend for sleeping comfortably would be 4 people because of having only 1 bathroom. The outdoor space is beautiful and the view of the lake is a wonderful way to start or finish your day.

Inside was comfortable however the window AC units were very loud. Amenities are good and well stocked. TV has limited stations (no cable).Outdoor area (deck and grills) we're not very clean. Had to clean the grill grates three times before using and clean off the table, chairs and deck Nice lake view but water is not accessible. No area to get into the water as it is mostly reeds and lillypads. We did not use kayaks or canoe for that reason.Furniture is getting worn but comfortable. Could use upgrade or at least some cleaning.

About the host

We are a family of 4 who inherited a small lake house which we fully renovated to return it to its former cottage status. The cottage and its former owner are close to our heart so we've tried to leave touches and reminders here and there to honor them.
What makes this property unique
This cottage is perfect for those looking for a lake to fish or play on! The lake is full of a variety of fish (musky, bass, bluegill...) and is a popular fishing hole all year round. It's close to several challenging golf courses. In the winter, there are snowmobile trails nearby.
